I read what he wrote on the paper. Something was up. It was pretty noticeable and I'd gotten in trouble enough times to tell how to tell if someone got in trouble. Normally Alex had something to say in Math and just seemed so alive but today he just seemed different. He didn't have that same energy and didn't have something to say that seemed like every five minutes.
A couple days later I walked into math and put my things down and waited till class began. Alex walked in but he didn't have his stuff. He went over to Mr.Scott's desk and got some papers then left the classroom. "Alex wasn't in class today but he's in the building." Robert said to me. I didn't say anything since I guessed that Alex probably had been in school detention or ISD but I couldn't think of what could have landed him there. Earlier in the week we had exchanged discord's so when I got home i dmed him to see if he was ok. He hadnt answered that day.
The next time we had math he was there and seemed like his normal self. I pulled out a piece of paper and started writing on it.

From there we talked about random little things and became friends who passed a piece of paper everyday between each other talking.
