When my eyes open, the first thing I can point out is the chills running down my body at how cold it is. I look around but all I can see is dead grass. I can barely see six feet ahead of me due to the mist in the air that surrounds me. A small breeze pulls my hair back a bit.

As I'm about to take a step forward to investigate more, the ground begins to shake. My first idea is to panic, but by some miracle, I remain calm.

I look over to my left to barely see hundreds of horses with men riding with what seems to be weapons. Machetes, machine guns, you name it.

I look to my right and see the exact same thing. Angry looking men with horses charging at me- no, the men on the opposite side of them.

Closer and closer, they come. This is when panic takes over, and I can't control or tame it. Closer and closer, the ground shakes even more. As soon as they're about to all crash into me, I hear a familiar voice.

"Athena, wake up. It's a dream!" I gasp and cling onto the closest thing next to me. After a few seconds I look in front of me to see that thing is actually someone.

Ace.

"What's wrong? Is it one of those dreams?" He looks at me nervously. I bite my lip, not knowing if it was or not.

"I... I don't know." My eyes drift off. He sighs before letting me go. For some reason I suddenly feel disappointed that his touch has disappeared.

"It's almost seven anyways, what do you want for breakfast? I'll make it for you." I watch as he walks over to the window, opening the blinds.

Before I can answer, my phone rings. I quickly mouth, "One second." Before grabbing and answering the call. "Hello?"

"We'll let you come back under one condition, Athena." I hear my father's voice and I instantly frown. Ace seems to notice and is giving me a questioning look.

"And what's that?" I ask hesitantly, looking straight at Ace nervously.

"You are to marry Miles." My heart drops. I quickly break the eye contact I had with Ace and look anywhere but him.

"I thought you said you wanted to make peace with the kingdoms, Father." I whisper. He chuckles deeply.

"I don't care, all I care about is Miles's inheritance." I can tell he's losing his patience already.

"But Ace is inheriting an entire kingdom." I counter back, confused on his logic.

"I don't care, Athena. You're marrying Miles and it's final."

"No-" I shout quickly, but he hangs up.

"Athena... what's wrong?" Ace asks softly. My face begins to heat up. I try my best to hold back my tears as I turn to look at Ace.

"I have to marry Miles."
