How does a rich child considered a side character with his older brother's who want him to break out shell but something's holding' him back turn out to be the main character of act ? , the song starts as we watch a boy with glasses reading a book in a library that's probably contains thousands of more books , The golden child though nobody called him golden didn't ask help knew he could help himself by doing what's right , studying day and night , when caring for children some joked and called a newly wed wife! the song continues showing a image of the same boy in glasses but this time him reading a story to a group kids gathered around looking at him in awe as he read with a smile on his face , And everyday more young maidens got married , betrothed , pregnant making their own name , he struggled to come to terms that he would have to carry his family name he , all he longed for was his own future to start up . The boy was ready to except that his fate was to marry a rich man get pregnant have him a son and daughter . The song keeps going , not stopping showing us the boy with the glasses look out his window at a man proposing to a girl who was smiling and crying as she put on the ring , closing the window with a sigh the boy blows out his candle and goes to bed , Then a forced marriage was arranged and our poor saw his independence fly away... we see the boy with glasses in the same library we saw earlier but this time sobbing his eyes out , So one day he put his quill in the ink jar stared at the paper wrote how unfair most marriages are forced and arranged same boy with glasses smiling at his paper while he wrote on the paper with handwriting you would think it was from a princess or queen . People reading it on the news paper saying , "Wow it's true how most marriages are arranged ! " so they help him make up a new name helping him with his plan how we was going to run away they would say , " Still get education have nice caring family , maybe the world will know ya' name , so what is your name son ? You can see s group of people waving at the boy with glasses as he waved back at them from a big ship that was heading to New York , Oliver Kingdom or you could call me Great Britain , I might not know everything but I know there somebody , somebody who could teach me ! We the boy with the glasses called Oliver say to someone on the boat with a soft smile on his face , When he was only 10 he realized that he had family problems , 2 years later see Oliver and his mother lying on their deathbed and everybody was sure that they would both end up dead the winter was coming and that only made them worse , Ollie got better and a funeral was planned for the other who got sick . Ran his to cousin that cared for him but committed suicide it really made him cry as his mother died voice in his head saying ' Ollie you need to start off new somewhere else ! ' We see ollie crying holding his dead cousins body that was cold , limp in his arms as he sobbed , So Ollie started rereading and learning new things as for someone who didn't grow with independence that would be natural end of it , he should've been mourning for loss but knew people who dealt with so he started helping those who needed it learn things they never learned before he smiling as he them kids run back to parents showing how they can even speak Spanish and French as he could ! The image show's You watch him smiling at from boat when it sets off everybody singing in new you could have your wanted independence .
