000.

It isn't a dream, your mind keeps repeating the same sentence while you walk back from work.

How can you get home? How can you get home? Were the main questions lingering in your mind.

It's been few month since you come into this world.

Stuck in strange world where technologies has become bit too advanced to your taste. Thankfully, the world is still familiar to you in way where even with technologies you never knew humanity was capable of building and you're quick to adapt to any new scenarios which somehow also includes this.

Imagine the shock when you found out you landed into the future. Not just any future, but a century into the future.

Thankfully, you had your basic certificates with you. However, it remains a mystery as to how the certifications were already in your bag, especially with how the dates in all of the certificates changed to sync with the future. It was weird but you didn't dwell long when you realized you're jobless when you're unable to locate your workplace.

Either it was long gone or move elsewhere.

It takes awhile to find a job and you had to rely on the money that you pawned your bracelet from a jewelry shop (it turns out the brand of the item you sold didn't make the design anymore so it was the most sought accessory in jewelry marketing and you received almost a worthy million for the single piece. You vow and keep your set of jewelry earrings and necklace and a few more rings in case of emergency.).

You bought yourself an apartment to live in while hunting for a job. Simple and spacious enough to walk.

It doesn't take long before you land in a corporate company.

Contrary to your fear, the workplace doesn't change much from how it looks like a century ago. And your new colleagues don't hesitate to welcome you with open despite the midst of a busy schedule. Overall, putting aside the stress, the environment is overall nice and comfortable that it scares you how you immediately fit right in, well, excluding how you're the smallest of the bunch.

You thought it was a dream at first. With so many things going on; unfamiliar places, unfamiliar buildings, unfamiliar technologies.

But you're losing hope when you wake up to the same white ceiling of your new room that you still seem like you can't get used to for the past few weeks.

And you have pinched your arms just to make sure you aren't losing your mind. It hurts.

The next few days with no changes whatsoever, you accepted that this is your new world.

It isn't bad really. You have a decent life in this future. Wonderful colleagues and neighbors. A weekend to yourself to enjoy. And a pet you've always been dreaming of adopting. Compared to your previous life. You're forced to lower your head, being pressured, harassed, do work for others when it's not yours. Most importantly, no time for yourself to relax since you're always called to work by your boss who always never credited and appreciated your efforts. There's no one to rely in the workplace and you have no friends to hang out with.
