CURSE FROM GRACE. -- Mafuyu Asahina.

1 - routine

This morning has been such a pain.. I had to wake up at 5:30am because I set my stupid alarm to the wrong time.. then I couldn't sleep after that. 

I sighed tiredly, walking along the hallway to my classroom. In reality it was stupid, how a single noise could ruin my sleep for the night and ultimately ruin my mood for the entire day, but oh well, it was already done now. My mother had already left for work by then so it's not like it bothered anyone else, thankfully.

Anyways, I entered the classroom, searching the room that was already filled with vibrant and lively students. Expect for the one purple haired girl, Mafuyu Asahina. She's a special girl, Asahina. Every morning I found her with a happy smile on her face as she held a book from library in front of her, as she peacefully read it.

For some reason, seeing that put a small grin on my face as I casually walked up to the seat. Since there was no seating plan, every day, every morning, I asked,

"Is this seat taken?" 

Which she'd reply,

"Of course not!" With her usual charming attitude. 

But it wasn't just her beautiful eyes and hair or her friendly tone and expression, it was also how she always put others in front before herself. And if I'm being honest, I'm not the only one who noticed this, Asahina is actually quite popular, everyone always wanting to talk to her and asking for help with studying. 

I looked out the window as I was sitting at my desk, waiting for the class to start. Though when shot a quick glance towards the tall girl who was sitting quietly next to me, I couldn't help but wonder, how does she feel every day like this? Everyone might assume she likes the attention, that she likes being one of the top students but— what if there was more to that..?

Ding ding,

The school bell rang, suddenly stopping my train of thought. I realised as I took out my pens and notebook that Asahina gave me a small wave as she smiled at me.. with that.. natural smile.
