This morning was an odd one, Serena hadn't bothered to wake me up for school and as a result I was ten minutes late. The kiss from last night didn't help either as that kept me up most of the night. She didn't say much either, acting as if nothing strange had happened. Serena cancelled todays club meeting so we all went home. Tho the club commander didn't wait for me and rushed out the door without me. I can only surmise that perhaps she's trying to keep her mind off of what happened. I couldn't help but wonder if she still wanted to come with me on my search for a roommate.
After dropping off my school bag next to my bed my eyes happened to meet up with the plastic bag of tea leaves in my gift box. Hey, a cup of tea would be great right about now. Even if I suck at brewing it, it'd be better than nothing. I grabbed the bag and exited my room. I slowly came down the stairs and headed for the kitchen. On the way, I saw both John and Stella sitting in the living room watching TV. They both spotted me passing by.
"Good afternoon, Matt," said John in a tone that mocked me just a little. "Full of energy as always I see."
I waved weakly at the both of them, still too tired to really register what they said. I finally went into the kitchen and put the leaves on the counter. I took a pot and filled it with water and started to try and brew the leaves. To be honest, I didn't know anything about brewing tea leaves and I would be lying if I said I wasn't half-assing it. Eventually, the water began to boil and I added the leaves. I sure hope this comes out okay...
When I was finally done, I poured myself a cup and took a sip. Terrible...I'm sorry Clara. I've wasted your precious gift with my lack of brewing talent. I continued to try and drink it, since I didn't want to waste it.
A minute later, Serena entered the kitchen and yawned. I eyed her suspiciously as I thought about last night. She walked past me and up to the pot and poured herself a cup. She went and took a big gulp but she was unable to swallow it. She made a grimace before she spat it out into the sink.
"Yuck! Who the hell brewed this? Was it you Matt? It would have to be. Only you would be this incompetent!"
After hearing her yell at me, I was actually feeling very relieved. She seems to have gotten over what she did last night.
Afterwards, Stella entered the kitchen and became excited to see that there was some tea brewed.
"Ooh, did someone brew some tea? I want some!"
Serena was quick to tell her about how I apparently really suck at making tea. I was slightly annoyed at this but quickly got over it.
"Speaking of tea," Stella said, "It must be nice that you guys drink coffee and tea while reading at your club."
I looked at her in confusion. "Reading? I don't do that at our club. Only one of us actually reads frequently."
Stella also blinked in confusion. "Really? Oh...." She then walked away, leaving me stumped as to what the hell she was talking about.

Around thirty minutes later Serena and I were once again on the hunt for a place for me to move. Since finding a place of my own ended in disaster, I had hoped that becoming a roommate would allow more success.
While we were going to the first apartment I had the sudden urge to mess with her a bit, if for no other reason than to give her the message that she wasn't as sneaky as she thought. "I had this really weird dream last night."
"Oh really? About what?"
"I was in this dark room and there was this girl there. I saw her sneak up to me and kiss me. And for some reason, I couldn't stop her."
