Chapter 1, where it began

(Also this takes place after the sludge villain incident with all might and deku, I'm too lazy to write all that 🤡)

Past day; Aldera junior high, July 15th 2014

Today was Izuku's birthday, he was both excited and not excited since he had school today and had to face his bullies, he sighed and headed to the bathroom before getting in the shower and washing himself up, he got out the shower after about 10 minutes or so and brushed his teeth before getting dressed in his all black uniform, he put on his regular red shoes and brushed his hair before popping two antidepressants into his mouth and grabbing breakfast, he eats quickly and puts his plate in the sink when he finished, he gets up and grabs his backpack and says goodbye to his mother before running to school.

When he got there, he saw the blonde with his friends and sighed as the blonde called him over with a dangerous smirk, izuku walked over and the blonde pulled out a box with a lid that had a red bow on the top, he handed it to izuku and grinned in an evil way "the entire class helped put together a gift for your birthday today, happy birthday nerd"
The smaller boy gulped knowing that whatever was inside the box wasn't a good gift at all, he sighed and opened the box only to see a fairly long rope inside with a small packet titled; "How To Tie A Rope" the younger boy teared up as he looked up at the tall blonde "oh, if you want to tie a noose, the instructions are on page 132 let me know if need a helping hand with getting the right adjustment for your neck" the blonde and his friends laughed and walked away from the now crying boy, he stood there in disbelief but on the other hand he couldn't say that h didn't see this coming, he sighed and stuffed the rope and packet into his backpack, not wanting to waste a gift given to him, as the bell rang he rushed to class and sat at his seat.

Izuku walked up to the rooftop and sighed as he took his yellow backpack off before unbuttoning his shirt, revealing a white shirt underneath which he threw to the ground along with his backpack but before he could do anything else he heard a thud on the other side of the wall of the stairs and walked over to see all might there, his eyes lit up as he screamed all mights name and the muscular man turned around with sweat dripping down his face as he was about to transform, meanwhile izuku was rambling on and on and eventually all might deflated and looked at izuku with blood leaking from his mouth which caused izuku to scream at the top of his lungs and start to panic, he managed to calm down after a while and let all might explain the fight that caused a permanent injury and how he could only be in his muscular form for so long a day and everything else that went on, leaving izuku shocked but he sighed and played with his fingers while looking at the ground as all might began to get up and almost left but was stopped by izuku "what is it kid?" Said all might as he stood up "w-well.. You see.. I've wanted to be a hero ever since I was a child.. But I don't have a cool power like everyone else does.. I was wondering if you think it'd be possible to be a hero without a quirk.. I know I don't have any powers but.. I can still try my hardest can't I..?" All might paused and hesitated before answering "listen kid.. A lot of heroes fight strong villains and without a quirk you could probably die.. It's not bad to dream but try focusing on something realistic like a police officer or a doctor, I'm sorry but you can't be a hero without a quirk" all might stated and walked away and down the stairs, izuku sighed and went to walk away until he saw an explosion in the distance and panicked, he threw on his uniform shirt again and snatched his backpack and began running down the stairs to where there was a crowd of people panicking, he squeezed through the crowd to get a better look at the chaos and his eyes widened as he saw a giant sludge villain in the street and could barely make out what was happening so he got closer and heard the blondes voice come from the villain and saw him struggling against the villain, he panicked and looked around for any heroes but before he could do anything, his body began moving as he ran towards the explosions and threw his backpack at the villain, one of his books damaging it's eye as he tried to claw at the slippery sludge to try and free his childhood best friend from the villain, he was shocked when all might came in and beat the villain for him and he was scolded by the police for risking his life like that and he sighed as he began walking home and heard his name being called by a familiar voice which caused him to stop and turn around to see the blonde panting heavily and he began explaining that he didn't need help from someone like him and threw a couple other insults at the boy before waddling away, izuku sighed and thought to himself as he turned to walk in the opposite direction of the blonde boy 'welp.. Guess I can go back to giving up on my dreams..' The boy thought to himself and began walking home.
