Admiring from Afar

Prologue

"Ms. Hannah this way please."

I nodded as I followed him. I thought when I reach my dreams, I would be so happy. I thought he would be so happy for me. I thought I have my family by now, living comfortably and happy. But I guess it's just a dream. One of my dreams.

everyone in the room stood up when they saw me.

"Good Morning Ms. Villanueva. Please take a seat." Mr. Gordon greet me.

"Morning." I respond and take a sit. It feels so good to be the new CEO of your dream company. if he only know that I became the person he wanted me to.

"So, how's everyone?" I ask smiling. medjo nakakapanibago sa feeling na ung pinag tra-trabahuan  mo at pinapangarap mo na companya dati, hawak mo na ngayon.

They chuckled.

"we're fine ma'am." Montasan said. He's the most selfish friend for me. He is my dad's rival.  Sabi nya "Friends" daw Sila. Haha. Kaya pala. He thought I don't know that he tried to get this company from dad.

I chuckled. "Oh, it's good to know Tito." I fake a smile. Kala niya may panghahawakan siya kase ung anak ng 'best friend' nya ung may ari ng companya ngayon. Funny.

Just wait for my revenge Mr.Montasan. I will make sure that you will begged me to pull some string for you. you broke my dad's trust so I am. wala kang panghahawakan sa oras na binitawan kita. For now I need you and your fcking little game.

"So let's start?"

I nodded.

"Good Morning Mr. And Mistress. I am Jaylan Aviola from MCE Corporation. Now, I will present to all of you the new products of MCE Corpo-" they all stopped when the door opened.

I look at the door and as expected he came.

does he know that I am the new CEO? Well of course. His uncle is Montasan so why bother?

I keep my face straight as I leaned to my swiveling chair.

he is looking at his phone while walking towards the table so he didn't see me. I secretly chuckled. Look at this man, kahit sa trabaho di magawang alisin ung paningin nya sa phone niya.

he take a sit beside his uncle. no wonder.

I clear my throat to signal them to continue the presentation. he look at me with surprised and guilt in his eyes. I didn't look at him though. I just saw his reaction on my peripheral vision. So I'm not sure if that's really his reaction.

I stood up and clap my hands after Jaylan finish his presentation. The members also stood up to give Jaylan an applause.

Jaylan look at me shyly. "Thank you Ma'am/Sir. I will take this as a yes." He said before saying goodbye to the members.

"Ma'am Hannah, I'm going na po. I hope you like my presentation po. It's pleasure to meet you again ma'am." I know na hindi para sakin ung huli niyang sinabi. I'm sure of that. I stood up again to give him a hug.

"I'm so proud of you Jay. Keep it up." I said before letting go at his hug. I smiled genuinely. Look at him, it's just like yesterday when we start teaching him. Yes 'we' because me and Kiel are the ones who look after jay.

He look me at the eyes. I know he is concerned about me. I nodded and mouthed "I'm okay" and then I smiled.

He knows our past because he was there. He was there though my hardest time and he was there through his hardest time.

he gave me an small smile before walking out the room. I sighed as I remember everything. I can't believe that Jay saw all of that.

"Meeting Dissmised." I said before sitting.

Pinalabas ko muna ung secretary ko para I assist si Jaylan at para ibili rin ako ng coffee.

Montasan look at me like I did something bad.

"What?" I directly ask to him. I know his nephew is looking at me the whole presentation but I don't give a damn on those people because they aren't worth it to give my attention.

"Nothing Ma'am. Aren't you going?"

"No." My gaze turn to the man beside him.

"Why?" I turn my gaze into him just to see his smirking face. I chuckled. I know what he means by that. But no. Never.

Padabog akong tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo. can't believe this man.

"Look here, Mr. Montasan. I don't give a damn okay? And it's none of your business if I'm going to stay here the whole day or what. So stop asking questions as if we are close."

"But we are." kapal talaga. I chuckled again but this time it's bitter.

"what? Pardon me? kailan pa tayo naging close? Si Mr. Villanueva ung kaibigan mo, hindi ako. Iba rin ang ugali ko sa kanya. So stop meddling in my business if you don't want to leave this company." Mataray kong saad sa kanya. Wala akong pake kahit nananood pa ang pamangkin nya.

He chuckled. "Wow Ms. Kali. You really grown up huh?"

I bitterly smile and look at the man who is looking at me with disbelief. he doesn't have a right to look at me like I did something really wrong.

"Of course." I said without cutting my gaze into him.

"Okay. See you tomorrow." I saw his smirk before walking out the room.

I colsed my eyes as I sighed. I can't believe him! ang lakas naman ng loob niya para sabihing close kami! wow! 

I open my eyes when I realize that he's here pa. ba't di pa 'to umaalis? ano siya welcome dito? hell, no!

"What are you doing?" I asked in my normal voice. I want to be professional as long as I can. I can't let my feelings control me because I'm sure that I will be in pain again if I do that.

"Can we talk?" He said using his deep voice.

"For what? You aren't even part of my members. Do I personally know you Mr.? And for your information, my time is gold so I don't give a fcking damn into stranger. Just saying."

"Look, I didn't mean what I sai-" di ko na siya pinatapos ng magsalita ulit ako.

"Why? What? Do I know you? I can't remember you sir. Pardon me." I lied.

"Kali." He said. Threatening me. So what?! Di nya ako madadaan sa ganyan nya!

"What the hell do you need?!" I shouted. I tried to control my voice just to prove him that I'm not affected anymore. But my voice has it's own life.

"can we talk? 5 minutes. Please." He said. His eyes were full of hope that I will say yes. But no. You will just ruined everything after all.

"I don't fucking talk to stranger."

"I'm not stranger Kali. You know that. We both know that." He said with determine. I chuckled.

"Pardon? ginagaya mo ba si Mr. Montasan? I can't believe the both of you! Do you think I will talk to you? Bakit? May ginawa ka ba para kausapin kita?"

"I'm sorry." nakita ko ang mga nagbabadyang luha sa mga mata niya. But I don't care. He made me like this.

"For what? I already told you! I don't know you because you're stranger after all!" I shouted. Nagmana talaga siya sa Tito niya. can't believe my self that I fell inlove with a man who doesn't even love me.

"I'm sorry." His last word before walking out the room.
