Huge Guts

It's been two years since Cynder joined our team. But now, he's got something he didn't have back then: guts. Huge guts, and most importantly, skill! He was a pretty quick learner, and I'm seriously impressed. He started out as just an intern of sorts for us, and occasionally got into some light combat with us by his side. But now, he's got what it takes to really kick ass!

Sure, he doesn't have the crazy powers me and the others do, but damn is he strong! And the crazy fun I have sparring with him is damn good proof! Having him by our side more often is an absolute joy, and I can't wait to see where he'll go from here.

Me and the gang decided we wanna put Cynder's abilities to the ultimate test. We had a somewhat brief meeting about it, and he looked super excited! I'm happy he's up for it. This is quite a big mission for him. But he can do it. He knows he can, and I do too.

With the help of, uh, someone who I probably should avoid mentioning for their sake, we can finally begin entering the Shadow Realm and finding the answers we need. We know that every owner and moderator across every platform on the internet has ties to the Shadow Realm so there has to be something we can learn there.

This is pretty crazy. No one's ever managed to go to the Shadow Realm via any method other than getting banned. Well... nobody besides that Lucario... What a chad. God, I miss him. Oh uh, cough sidetracked, sorry. Thanks to our provider, we are now able to do just that! We're opening a portal to the dimension of cringe, baby!

Oh yeah... yes, we will be sending Cynder to the Shadow Realm. That's part of his mission. But that's all we have planned for him at the moment, and we don't have the answers we need yet. Therefore, it may be a while before we can send him off on his grand adventure. As much as I can't wait to see how it goes, we need to find out how we can dethrone a mod first. Or even... an owner. Once we discover what needs to be collected, that's when Cynder'll come in.

Ion decided to let me do this one. A lot has happened in the past week, and we're super proud of our progress. We finally found out exactly what we need to do and what we need to get. Like I said, a lot's happened, but I'll try to keep this short and understandable... enough.

So basically, we successfully managed to open a portal to the Shadow Realm, and for about a week we've been exploring it and documenting our findings. The nature, the areas... and especially the monsters. Disgraced former internet users who were damned to be separated from their OCs before being banned. These OCs were sent to the Shadow Realm and turned into the creepy shadow people that are all over the place.

Anyway, we've even managed to map out most of the realm, learning more about locations with each passing day. It'll take us a few years to fully understand it all, but for now we're sticking to our mission. Speaking of our mission, we finally discovered the answers we've been looking for. More specifically, we've found a way to combat the rotten adults who call themselves moderators.

These answers come in the form of some stone tablet thing Luke found while exploring the Southern Crystal Field. The tablet tells of a shadow lord lurking deep within the Corrupt Swamps that takes the form of a colossal spider named the "Aranea Sanguisquaesitor," which translates to "Bloodseeker Spider." The tablet goes on to state that the Bloodseeker's venom is so ridiculously powerful, that it can even weaken higher ups of the internet. If we can collect that venom, isolate what makes it so powerful, and weaponize it... It's just what we're looking for!

So then, we told Cynder all about the true scale of his mission: How he's gotta go deep into the Corrupt Swamps of the Shadow Realm and kill a giant spider lord and collect samples of its venom. He looked a little uneasy when we explained the potency of the Bloodseeker's venom, but he was up for the task nonetheless. He sure was eager to prove himself. But while the meeting was going on, I couldn't help but notice the look on Ion's face. He looked somewhat... sad or worried?

PS: So much for "short and understandable..."

Hey epic, I get to write! Um... yeah, today's the day. I'm finally going into the Shadow Realm, alone, to go kill some giant spider thing and get it's venom. I know damn well this'll be easier said than done. There'll probably be a horde of shadow pricks out to get me the minute I set foot through that portal.

But this is exactly what I signed up for. I signed up for danger. I signed up to shove a middle finger into the face of death itself. I'm the exact opposite of afraid. I'm excited! Happy, even. The past 2 years have lead me to this moment. I've got my power, abilities, and my friends supporting me. I feel... unstoppable! Impenetrable! Adamantine!

Hazel made a sword for me! It's surprisingly lightweight, balanced, and it looks epic! Now all that training I did with Ion'll pay off big time. Speaking of Ion, a few minutes ago he said to me, "Never be afraid to 'let the demon out' from time to time. They may be scary, but you can be scarier." As a half-cat and half-Cinderace, I'm not very physically intimidating, but hey, I'm sure I can pull that off.

There's like, 15 minutes left before I gotta go. I should start getting ready. They're gonna give me a... rather strange choice of radio. It's apparently from the 70's, and Diego said that since the internet wasn't a thing back then, we should be able to communicate through it without the realm blocking the connection. I don't understand, but okay.

I'll come back in one piece. Alive, at least. I'm more than sure of it. This is MY moment, and there's no room for fuck-ups! The nanosecond I step through that portal, the Bloodseeker is already dead.
