MISSING THIS

I woke up by the brightness of the light and I sat up and stretched. Then I remembered what happened yesterday and I just stared at the floor because I can't cry anymore. I feel numb and miserable but I have to be strong for my sister. I am graduating this Saturday and I'm turning 18 at Sunday. My mom's gonna miss my graduation and my 18th birthday, and then my wedding and so on. But I'm luckier than Lilly because Mom can't see her first boyfriend, prom and so on, but I promise I'll be there for her.

I stood up and went out to the kitchen and saw my mom's blood there but all dried up. I wanted to cry but I still can't, I decided to clean it up. Half an hour passed by and it looks better than awhile ago. I washed my hands and started to make breakfast for me and Lilly. 2 pancakes each and a bacon with orange juice. Lilly woke up and sat down in the table.

"I miss mom." She said looking at her food.

"I miss mom too." I said walking to her and hugging her tightly. I remembered something from the letter.

"Lilly? Your not really sick." I said to her softly.

"Mom said I am." She said.

"Mom told me she said that to you so both of us will keep fighting the pain." I said to her.

"Oh, but I'll still fight even though I'm not sick because I promised Mom." She said.

"I will also fight." I said and continued "Never break Mom's promise? " I held out my pinky. She held hers up and locked it with mine. She grinned and I grinned back to her. Then we ate breakfast.

-Graduation-

Graduation Day! Finally it's here and I'm off high school. I am wearing a blue dress with laces paired with a gold earrings and matching bracelet that my mom gave me with gold sandals which I saved for it.

When my name is called up I glanced up at the audience and saw my sister waving at me and I imagined my mother beside her smiling proudly at me.

-After Graduation-

Lilly and I ate dinner at our favorite fast food, McDonald's! We were both talking about non sense until we are both quiet.

"I know mom is very proud of you right now." My sister said giving me a sad smile.

"I know she's looking at us from above. Even though we can't see her she'll be helping us all the time." I said to her.

After dinner we went home and I looked at my laptop and saw that I have an email. I opened it and saw that I got accepted at NYU, I'm so happy. But I frowned when I remembered that I can't live Lilly, but we can move to New York. Mom left us some money, and it's enough to pay for our tickets, but I have to find a small apartment for both of us.

I searched it up and saw a small apartment with 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen, living room and 1 bathroom that is worth 300$ a month. It's perfect, it doesn't look much but it's okay. I decided to tell Lilly and I went to her bedroom.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." She replied.

"I got accepted at NYU and I am studying there." I said and sat down at the tip of her bed.

"Congratulations!" She smiled at me and hugged me.

"Thank you! You see New York is far from here so we have to move to an apartment there." I said softly.

"What?!" Her eyes widened.

"I'm gonna enroll you to a public school there and- " She cut me off.

"No! I'm not going. Our memory with mom is made here in this very house. I'm not leaving this house." She said tears in her eyes.

"We're not leaving this house Lil, we're gonna visit this place in the holidays if our relatives won't invite us. I love this house too." I said tears filling my eyes.

She sighed. "Promise?" She held out her pinkie and I locked mine with hers. "Promise!"

"You have to sleep cause you look like a zombie right now." I said jokingly.

She giggled. "At least I don't look like a scare crow like you right now." She replied. I tickled her and she laughed so hard.

"Okay.....stop.." She said. I stopped and laugh. I miss this.

"Goodnight, sweet dreams Lilly!" I kissed her forehead and went out of her room and went to mine then sleep welcomes me.
