Chapter 12

"Good morning," Sofia says with a bubbly smile as she sees me walk into the kitchen.

"Good morning." I say sleepily.

"I hope you don't mind I wanted to make you some breakfast as a way of saying thank you."

"Oh, that's fine." I smile.

"Even though it's not much I made some pancakes." She smiles while setting the plate on the table.

I smirk remembering how I had Nova laid out on the same table a few hours ago. 

"This is more than enough." I smile sitting down trying the food she made.

"What you think?" she asks sitting next to me.

"It's good thank you"

"No, thank you I don't know what I would do without you"

She grabs my hand looking into my eyes sincerely, I nod, and I soon feel a presence behind us I turn to see Nova with a frown on her face. She can't still be jealous, not after everything we did last night. I pull my hand away from Sofia and go over to Nova giving her a kiss on the forehead.

"Good morning pretty girl."

"Morning,"she says, sleepiness still in her voice.

"Sofia made some pancakes want to try some?"

"Remember what happened last time we had pancakes?" She asks with a smile.

"What happened last time?" Sofia asks curiously.

"My mom came over," I sigh.

"Oh, well let's hope no one else comes this time." Sofia smiles.

The doorbell rang and her smile stiffened I let out an ironic laugh and walked to the door. I opened it to see Maria and the girl that was dancing with Nova that night at the club, I never got her name. They had a cake and balloons in their hands like there was a party going on.

"Hey, where's Nova?" Maria asks

"Umm she's in the kitchen what are.."

"Nova." Maria called walking inside cutting my words off.

"Wait take off your shoes." I say stopping her and the girl.

"What are you guys doing here?" Nova asks, seeing the girls at the door.

"We're here to celebrate your cherry pop." Maria smiles.

"What's a cherry pop and why are we celebrating it?" I ask.

The girls looked at me like I was joking and started to laugh, I looked at them confused. Was I supposed to know what that was?

"You really don't know what a cherry pop is?" Maria asks, suppressing her laughter.

"No." I admit embarrassed.

"It's okay I'll tell you later." Nova reassured me.

"How did y'all even know I was here?"

"I have your location silly." The girl says.

"Nahmari you a stalker," Nova laughs.

So that was her name, I don't know why but I feel like I'm competing with her she seems so much closer to her than I am. Walking into the kitchen the girls sit their things on the table. Sofia smiled and waved at them, they waved back, and I introduced them to each other.

"So, what are you doing here so early Sofia?" Maria asks sitting down.

"I'm staying here."

"I'm sorry what?" Nahmari asks confused.
