Introducing

I WOKE UP SCREAMING TODAY.

And then screamed some more because apparently I can now interact with the fourth wall. Who am I interacting with, I have no clue.

All I know is, it's a Monday morning and I have floating letters above my head.

Of course I have tried to swat it away, rub my eyes hoping it goes, and went back to sleep thinking I was dreaming.

All that gave me was that I ended up missing my alarm and running late for college.

But you don't care about that. Or maybe you do, in case this just reminded you that you are running late for college.

Am I finally going crazy from all the assignments? I wondered just as I ran out of the door with a muffled bye to my mother and a piece of toast in my mouth.

If I was, do you think I can sue them and get money? Or would I be directly sent to a hospital and forgotten about like I forgot my assignment for the day?

As I was preparing my argument in court, my best friend, the yin to my yang, the best thing that has ever happened to me, crashed into me. No really. It was like a spaceship crashing onto earth heaving mass destruction on human kind. Only she was the spaceship, I the earth, and the mass destruction was on the poor ants just living their life beneath us.

Are we the ants in the cosmic story? Hmm, maybe I'm in a philosophical book and am going to find a solution to all of life by the end of this.

Oh? Wondering how I knew I'm in a book? Easy... OF COURSE I AM.

This has all the monikers of a quest or the beginning of the end vibes that means there's going to be some major event that takes place and I am going to get sucked into it. At least I hope there's an interesting and fun love interest.

Speaking of love, my best friend hasn't uttered a word yet. Is she dead? Is this my tragic backstory? NOOOOO although it would make for good hero material not gonna lie. I mean, I would go on a journey with some hot hunk and then be mysterious the whole way on why can't I trust them or myself and finally in some sentimental moment maybe under the stars or stuck in a cave, I'd tell them the story of how my best friend crashed into me one Monday morning and stopped talking. Cue the tears and maybe a good long romantic eye contact.

"I just wanna sleep on your shoulder forever." She sighed and snuggled down. There goes my tragic backstory.

"Oh then by all means, sleep away. Not like we have to get to uni and study and get assignments and get beaten up by our rivals and..."

"Okay okay, I get it." She whined and slowly got off me. She pulled me off the ground as well and I finally looked around. We were at the gate of the Uni and she had just run in from the Uni. Ugh the word uni is now annoying me.

"Okay, why were you running away from college?" I asked her, dusting myself off first.

"I was trying to look for you." She shrugged and then pulled me by the hand before skipping into the college. Yes, she's the quirky best friend trope. Deal with it coz I won't trade her for anything... except maybe a cool tragic backstory.

"Well here I am. Hey did something strange happen to you this morning?" I asked, turning my head to look towards her.

"Hmm? Well, mom woke up late and Dan made breakfast so that was a strangely edible thing I had this morning. There was a weirdly enigmatic looking person who died on the bus today but not before he handed me some envelope and said Look for the path and you will receive. I wonder if he was a LARPER. Anyway, some strange looking dudes took him away. Oh and, I found a 4 leaf clover! Look." She exclaimed and rooted around in her bag for the four leaf clover cause who will focus on the dead enigmatic quest giver?
