    It was a typical day at the orphanage where resided the tree childhood friends; Asta, Yuno and Y/N. Y/N was helping Sister Lily with the laundry as some of the kids were playing around as the older ones were inside. Y/N was just talking with Sister until a loud voice rung...

"SISTER PLEASE MARRY MEEEE!!" It was Asta again. He was kneeling before the nun with a single flower in hand and had a determined face. Sister Lily looked flustered yet behind her, Y/N was fuming. She has had a crush on Asta for a while and always got jealous when he confessed to the sister. Too bad, she was a big tsundere!

"Back off dumbass!!" She yelled and sent him flying with her ice magic. "Ouch! What the hell Y/N!!? Why you getting in my way?!!" Asta scolded Y/N after recovering. He was really close to her now she felt her whole self shaking as a dark blush covered her face.

T-too close..! She thought. Asta was about to ask about her red face when wind magic swiped him away, revealing Yuno with the other kids behind him. "Asta stop bothering the ladies..." He said with a bored tone. He glanced at Y/N and saw her nodding at him as a 'thank you' gesture and he nodded back. Yeah he too knew about her crush on the short boy.

"Oi Yuno you jerk! Who do you think you are with that strong ass magic and pretty face?! Just cuz you woo the ladies don't mean you're better than me!" Asta complaint out loud as usual. The kids watched with deadpanned looks as the two boys argued, meanwhile Sister Lily had taken Y/N behind a tree to talk.

"Tell me Y/N do you perhaps have feelings for Asta?" The nun asked teasingly. Y/N blinked in confusion before comprehending her words and blushing madly. "Wh-what?! No way sister! H-he's an idiot of course I don't like him, hmpf!" She pouted however her blush was betraying her. Sister Lily giggled and gave her a warm smile. "You don't have to deny it. It's actually a good thing! He'll stop harassing me and may actually mature for once." She stated. "Okay but how do I make him understand that I like him then?" Y/N asked solemnly. Sister thought about it and smiled at her. "Just get closer to him and try not to throw him away each time he's close to you. He can be dumb but he may actually get the hint." Y/N smiled and nodded. "Thanks sist--" they heard Asta yelling again. "I'm gonna get the biggest bunch of wood so Sister Lily gets impressed and agrees to marry me!" He grinned to himself and ran off to the woods.

"Asta!" Y/N decided to follow behind him in case he may get hurt. Yuno looked at Sister Lily wondering if he should follow them, however the nun just shook her head, signalling him a negative answer.

"It's getting late Asta, we should go back now." Y/N suggested, seeing the boy looking around for more wood than he already collected.

"You can leave if you want but I'm not going until I get sister to marry me! My dear Lily~" Asta started daydreaming about the nun again, which got Y/N even more annoyed. "You're such an idiot do you realize?! She can never like you because she's a nun! A woman of cloth! Do you hear me?! A--" two drunkard who were walking by heard the commotion and saw Y/N. They smirked to themselves and approached her. One of them grabbed her before she could finish yelling at Asta, which made her look behind.

"Hello pretty thing~" he said. "What's a little stuff like you doing all alone in the woods this late?" The other slurred. Y/N was uncomfortable. Asta had already walked quite far from her so he didn't know what was going on. "Um...l-let go off me!" She said with a shaky voice, glaring at the two. The two laughed and grabbed her arms. Y/N attempted to free herself and use her magic but their grip was too strong on her she could only squirm relentlessly.

"She looks so defenseless how cute~" "We'll have fun with her...."

Asta was still walking ahead, stuck in his daydream. He stopped for a while and wondered if they were lost so he tried asking for his female companion. "Hey Y--" but realized she wasn't behind him anymore. Where'd she go? I could've sworn--

"HELP!!" A female voice yelled from a distance. Asta's eyes widened. He recognized it.

"Y/N!" He let go off the wood he held and turned back, running to the direction he heard the voice.

Back with Y/N, she was still struggling under the grips of her captors. "There's no need to struggle, no one will hear you!" She kept hitting, but her efforts were futile and she was growing tired. Before anything else could happen, a battle yell was heard approaching and as all eyes turned, they were met with a furious looking Asta.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO Y/N?!?" The drunkards only chuckled and one charged at Asta. He tried punching him but the short boy easily dodged and left a fist bump on his stomach, making the guy cough blood and pass out. The other drunkard got angry and let go off Y/N to hit Asta as well. However the ash-blond grabbed his fist before it could touch him and crushed it in his palms, making the guy surprised by his strength.

"Leave.. And take your friend with you. Never you come any closer to her again, got it?!" Asta gave him an intense glare, tightening his grip. The guy quickly nodded and immediately left while carrying his passed out friend behind him. Asta rushed to Y/N's and took her hand.

"Y/N! Hey, Y/N! You okay??" He asked in concern, taping her cheek in the process. Y/N slowly opened her eyes and saw him. "A-Asta..?" "They didn't hurt you did they? Tell me." She hugged him and started sobbing. Asta stood surprised but slowly started rubbing her back. "Thank God you came! I was so scared! P-please never leave me like this again!" "Hey it's over now.." She pulled away and looked into his honest green eyes. "I'm sorry I left you alone.. but trust me I'm never letting something like this happen to you again! Even if I have to stop thinking of Sister Lily! Cuz you matter to me most Y/N." Asta stated with his usual determined glint in his eyes.

Y/N couldn't help but smile. Sure he could be an idiot. But he'll definitely stay her idiot..

I cringed at this thing SO BAD OMG-
But anyway thx for coming by and waiting for this! Request are open btw, however u have to know I'm not caught up with the anime yet so whatever story will just be based off season 1 until I watch the next season.
