I woke up feeling the heat of the morning sun on my bare skin. I squint to adjust my eyes from the light. Then I came to realise that it is undeniably quiet.

'Baka tinuloy niya ang pag alis kanina'

I exhaled as I already concluded literally everything. I'm not feeling anything at the moment other than my chest felt like it was pitch into battered pulp.

I couldn't move for a moment. I literally forgot my responsibilities and duties at that moment. A single tear fell from my left eye. I realized that I was in so much pain.

I took a deep breath as I couldn't be zoning out right now. I couldn't grief for a second. I can't even understand what falling in love means. If it is what it is. If this is it. I really had no time for it.

I turned to see my phone ringing. I picked up ang gatthered myself together.

"Hello ma, bakit po?"

"Dadalaw kami mamaya ng papa mo"

"Ha? Para san po?"

"Anong para saan? Dadalawin lang, dapat may appointment, last week na punta ko jan di kana kumakain ng matino puro ka instant"

My mother's voice is raised but there is still a trace of worry and affection.

"Okay po punta po kayo, sa shop, I'll be in the office with Leon"

Leon is my assistant, he is a good designer and a good modiste. I've been in clothing business since two years ago. Faye helped me and became my business partner but thereafter she hasn't been well, she turned over her shares to me. Then I met Leon in my business class.

"Di ba pwedeng sa bahay mo na dumeretso?"

"Ei ma, may pasok pako wala kayo dadatnan dito" I said.

"Si Scot diba? Dyan sya tumutuloy?"

My eyes widen as I heard his name from my mom.

"You know about his stay here?"

"Yes, naaksidente siya nak." I felt my chest being whalloped. I couldn't speak and respond to what I heard.

"He is you're sister's patient kung saan siya nag-iintern, di ka nga pala nabalitaan madami kasi nangyari. Biruin mo ulila na si Scot, sa isang kurap lang"

"U-ulila?" My mind is floating above the clouds for I could't process my scattered thoughts.

"Car accident nak, siya yung driver pero di na nakaligtas parents niya, sabi namin puntahan ka muna niya"

"Pero hindi siya nagkukuwento sakin."

All of the guilt is surrounding me now, I just want to find him and apologize. I was wrong not to let down my pride when I had to.

"Nako, anak intindihin mo na lang, nawalan yung tao. Ikaw lang ang meron siya ngayon"

I wish I cared earlier enough, I wish I was patient enough.

I rushed to the bathroom and got ready, I wasn't planning to go to my office. I'm planning to find him, at his state he's probably messing around in the streets. I run down stairs after changing my clothes.

I stop right in the middle when I heard the noise of a busy kitchen. There was a sizzling sound of sauteing onions and garlic and the aroma of the chicken flaring, like it was home. The nostalgic scenery of the kitchen made my inner child shout within my bossom remembering how Scot and I will wait by the counter while my mother would cook for us every after class.

He is wearing my apron which is not his size and made him look like a soft gigantic man.

He place the dish right infront of the counter. "I was out of my mind. I'm sorry"
