Sitting next to Jason is literally torture. At lunch, it was better since we sat separately. Golden eyes and a handsome face. He could deceive anybody. Traitor. It was a mistake on the teacher's part. I seriously need to tell her. I plunged the fork into my lunch, surprising Ruth in front of me.

"Is something wrong, Luna? Cause you seem a bit disturbed," she says while tidying up the gravy off her face.

"I'm sorry, it's just... The seat I am currently occupying is not working for me in homeroom. There is no way I can sit with...." I begin and trail off. Grabbing a napkin, I offered it to her. Ruth giggles and I join in later.

I open the book 'Dracula' and begin reading. Nothing else interests me anyway. A bit of the way through the book, and a stone hits my window. I hope it was a small stone. Shutting it with a bookmark, I make my way to the window. Unlocking it, I find someone surprising. Not the person I expected to see today or ever.

"Hey!" he yells.

"Sssh! What are you doing here?" I ask. "I thought college didn't let out until winter break."

"Yeah, well, I snuck out" he replies, gazing down. Despite the fact that it is still Autumn, he showed up.

I exit through the front door. We both agree to walk and talk for a bit.

Assuming it is money I ask, "Do you need to pay off your debt?"

He halts then whips around. "No!" he says firmly. That answers my question. His gaze falls onto my neck.

"Since when do you wear necklaces?"

"Since two days ago" I reply, arms crossed over my chest. "Oh, come on, are you going to tell me I can't wear it?"

"No....I am here to sneak you to a party at my college"

Sleeveless shirts cannot keep away a cold wind, and so, I follow him. It was painful to walk even with my teeth chattering half the way. The loud sound of music and the fire from far greets us. He turns and tells me, "Suprise...and go mingle"

He disappears into another crowd of partiers. Suddenly, I recognized someone I know. Ruth and... The expression on his face matches mine when our eyes meet. Ruth blocks my vision of Jason, and I internally thank her for the distraction. Both of us went to get punched.

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, bringing my attention to him immediately. Jason....

"Hi, I didn't know you enjoyed parties" he asks, sarcastically.

"Neither did I" my teeth clench in response. Despite our feud, Ruth doesn't seem to be paying attention.

Grabbing me by the arm, he drags me someplace quiet.

"Let my arm go, Jason" I say, once we are in the middle of nowhere. It's quiet now, and only his eyes pierce my heart.

 "Oh..."

His touch leaves my right arm. It seems like Jason is paranoid as he looks around. He glances at my neck, and smiles.

"Glad you are wearing the necklace" he whispers, his voice low.
