Izuku woke up with a jolt, his emerald orbs wide with shock as he breathed in and out heavily. His chest heaving as he caught his breath, he blinked a couple of times before he let out a faint sigh. A warm feeling reaching every part of his body, he could only see white, every where he turned it was white; he was unnerved at first but he felt an odd relief. Like breaking water and taking his first gulp of air, Izuku slowly stood to his feet his eyes laced with exhaustion as he stumbled a bit before falling forward.Warmth.
He grasped onto it like it was his last lifeline, his eyes blinking open to find the source of such comforting warmth; the greenett stiffened as he was met with ruby irises that always seemed to seer deep into his soul. He parted his lips to speak, his voice hoarse and wobbly, "Kacchan...?"
Said ash-blond's eyes flooded with relief as he brought the greenett close to his chest, encasing him in a hug that made Izuku feel oh so safe. The ninth user burying his face in the crook of his childhood friend's neck as a shaken sob left his lips.
Katsuki's voice was rough yet soft and soothing to his ears, Izuku found himself slipping into it, something deep down told him that if he slipped fully everything would be okay. Every single burden he held onto slowly slipping from his grasp as he let himself relax, it felt so good to let go...
"It's alright, Izuku... you did it... let go..."Katsuki mumbled into his ear, his carmine orbs lowered to meet Izuku's as he pulled back a bit from the hug to gently stroke his thumb across Izuku's freckled cheek, wiping away the tears that stained them. The sandy blond's voice the last thing Izuku heard as he finally succumbed to the warm darkness of sleep.
"You're finally free."
