You know what scams are. Here's a chapter on how to identify scams and avoid them.
Common scams:
Trust trades
Cross trades
"Try on" an item.
Fake friend
Youtuber/tiktoker "for a vid"If you need an clarification on what these scams are, just comment and I'll get back to you when I can. How do you identify scams? Look for distinctive features. They're usually easy to spot. Trust trades, "You go first, then I will give you this massive overpay" or "Trust trade for a vid". Cross trades, "I'll give you this much robux for this item" basically trading Royale high items for other things not in game.
It's dangerous, so it's banned as stated in the rules. Trying on an item is just someone asking you to, try it on and give it back. They take the item and then leave.A fake friend is less common, but it's usually the hardest to know what to do. Someone will pretend to be your friend. They might ask you continuously for diamonds. Or maybe try to scan you then unfriend you. Be careful of these friends and know they are genuine. A youtuber or tiktoker might try to trust trade you "for a vid". Otherwise, they might use their fame to get good trades or even scam people using any methods. Always ask, "what's your channel name?" Or "what is your tiktok?" If they do have an account, beware of scams and ask for proofs. Carefully examine the proofs and see if you can find anyone claiming that the person is trusted.
What to do when you find a scammer:
If you see a scammer, what do you do? Well, I usually tell the others in the server. And report them. But, say your in a trade with a scammer, and you know their plan. What do you do then? Go along with it, for example, a cross trade. How much robux will you give me for my dear dollie heels? If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. How will you give me the robux? What's your group? Do you have any proofs? Take a screenshot or video to expose them, then report.
How to find scammers:
Things about them:
Talks in private chat
Leaves trade/ game as soon as they are found out
Covers username, age, level on journal
Uses animations/ motions to communicate
Fake proofsThese are some things that might identify a scammer. It doesn't necessarily mean it, but if they are doing at least two of these things, they are probably a scammer. (Also faking proofs is definitely a scammer).
Simple tips:
- Don't trust anyone you don't know
Personally. Even if it's your online friend, remember the fake friends scam.- Always ask for proof of not being a scammer.
- Use your common sense and think, "Could this be a scam?" "Is there anything suspicious?" "Why can't we trade at the same time?" It's simple.
Good luck trading and I hope you don't get scammed! This method worked for me, and should work for you too. Be careful and stay safe!
