ADELAIDE WAS SAT ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER IN MAGNUS' KITCHEN AS ALEC WAS SCRAMBLING TO PUT TOGETHER THE STEW. She raises an eyebrow as she watches the man be very precise with what he was doing. Well, he was always detail oriented when it came to a lot of things, Adelaide would know. "Are you sure this is exactly half a cup?" Alec asks as he looks towards Magnus, the man was just at the end of the counter, watching him curiously.
"Cooking is an art not science." Magnus responds as he moves closer to the couple but Alec only picks up the piece of paper in front of him.
"If that were true then there wouldn't be instructions." Alec tells him as he shakes the paper before putting it back down. Adelaide sighs as she puts her hand on Alec's chest, rubbing it.
"Babe, don't you think you're a little too stressed?" She asks, knowing that this wasn't going to help him get through the night. He needed to relax.
"This is an old family recipe. Izzy and I found it right after my grandmother died. My mother was inconsolable until the day we made her this stew. That was the first time I saw her smile." Alec explains to them as he rubs the back of his neck. Adelaide smiles for a moment before she moves her mouth to the side.
"So, does this mean you'll cook for me now?" She asks him and Alec only glances at her, squinting his eyes before focusing on the cooking. "You're sweet and so adorable with radish in your hair." Adelaide says with a laugh as she takes the radish out.
"Here." Alec says and before Adelaide can say anything, he shoves the spoon into her mouth. Her eyes widen as she eats the stew, but she stops herself as she realized how horrible it tasted. "How is it? Is it good?" He asks worriedly and she only puts on a smile, nodding her head as she gives him a thumbs up.
"Mhm." She mumbles as the man nods, turning away from her causing her face to drop into a grimaces. Alecs phone rings so he exits the kitchen for a moment to grab it. In that time, Adelaide grabs a jar, spitting the food out as a disgusted expression forms.
"That is disgusting." Adelaide tells Magnus who only laughs lightly as he raises an eyebrow at her.
"So, he won't be your own personal chef?" He asks as he makes his way over to the pot, glancing around before using his magic on it.
"Izzy texted." Alec says as he walks back into the kitchen causing Adelaide to quickly begin stirring the stew. "Out, out." Alec nudges the two of them and Magnus just shares a knowing look with Adelaide. "She is going on mission with Clary and Jace. Which means it's just me tonight." Alec explains making Adelaide groan for a moment. Of course she had to bail, and yet Adelaide wasn't allowed to.
