Driving in the car were two twins named Akira Saito and Yua Saito who just came back from the library after returning one of their favorite books.
Akira pov
"Man, I can't wait for the anime adaptation to come out!" said my sister, squealing like a pig.
The anime adaptation that my sister kept squealing about was called Bloomingblue Love. It's one of the most popular light novels that has come out. It was wholesome yet so dark.
My sister kept talking about it for a bit until she went quiet. At first, I thought she was just on her phone until I looked in the corner of my eyes and realized she was looking behind us. She looked concerned. I furrowed my eyebrows about to say something but my sister spoke up.
"Hey, onii-chan, is it just me, or is that truck following us?" Said my sister.
I looked out my side view mirror and there was a truck. I squinted my eyes and didn't see the driver. It took me a little too long to realize what was going to happen. And that's when the truck started speeding towards us.
"Will shit."
I started to drive a little faster and that was my first mistake: Thinking I could outrun the truck.
"Oh hell naw." I said before I started to speed up, turning sharp corners and crowded places, but whatever I did the truck seemed to get even closer.
My sister started to hit me on my shoulder, telling me to slow down, but I knew if I stopped that would be the end.
So, once I didn't see the truck, I thought the truck had finally left us alone.
and that was my second mistake: thinking the truck would stop.
I stopped in a parking lot and I turned around to look at my sister, who was crying at that point. Before I could say anything, she turned pale and pointed outside. I turned around and that's where everything went dark.
