Part 21 - Haldi and Marriage

So it's the day of Rahul and Tanisha's marriage. It was 6 in the morning and everyone seemed to be in a hustle as the haldi, the final ritual was scheduled at 8 am at the pool side. All decked up in different shades of yellow outfits and gathered at the designated place. It was a pleasant climate at it was not too late.

So the rituals began and first both the parents, i.e., Sooraj and Suhana applied Haldi to Tanisha and Rahul and then Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor did the same. Then all the elders of the family completed the ritual followed by the younger members of the family. It was quite emotional for the Shergill's and Sidiquie's. Everyone had their breakfast ASAP and started getting ready for the wedding that was going to happen in the evening, especially the ladies. But the men were kind of free, all thanks to the women as they had done the preparation well in advance so there would be no hurry. Karan and Faizi were sitting in Karan's room and just lazily scrolling through their phones. Faizi peeked a little and saw that Karan was seeing Monami's photo from the cocktail party last night.

Faizi: Janaab, kab tak sirf tasveer hi nihaarte rahenge?

Karan: Matlab?

Faizi: Arey, apni mohobbat ka izhaar kab karoge?

Karan: Pata nahi

Faizi: Kya pata nahi??

Karan: Matlab aaj woh bohot busy hai, uske bhai ki bhi shaadi hai

Faizi: Toh ek kaam karo reception ke din bol do

Karan: Waise bhi yeh saari baatain karne ka koi fayda nahi hai

Faizi: Kyu?

Karan: Mujhe pata hi nahi hai ki woh mujhse pyaar karti bhi bai ya nahi
