"You should head home. You're here for a very long time which is not good for your health."
Mrs. Kang Yuri spoke to Min Hana, Yeon's best friend. She looked up and met Mrs. Kang's tired eyes.
After coming home from the funeral, Mrs. Kang made a small space for Yeon, in case people come to meet her photo, they can sit here and talk to her, see her. She placed a the table in the corner of the living room, decorated with flowers and her photo. And then, Hana came to her. Mrs. Kang wasn't in a mood to talk to her so she let her in and do whatever she wants. Mrs. Kang was aide awake whole night while Hana spent her sleepless night beside Yeon's small memorial, starring at her photo.
"I am ok anty." She tried to speak strongly but miserably failed.
"Why you are here? Didn't you hate Yeon?" Mrs. Kang asked finally bringing the topic she wanted yesterday.
"I never hate her." Hana answered.
"Then what should I call it? Anger?" Mrs. Kang scoffed. "The things you did to my daughter during her high school days, do you think she will forgive you?"
"She said she forgave me." Hana spoke after a silence.
Mrs. Kang looked down and met Hana's tearfull eyes. "We met before her.... death."
"When?" Mrs. Kang asked.
"I am a medical student. I went to the hospital to do some experiments for my project with my team mate. And then I met her. We talked a lot that day." She answered.
Mrs. Kang didn't speak further. Memories of Yeon's cry, started to flash in her mind. In Yeon's high school days, Hana was her one and only bestfriend. People were so amazed by their friendship. But only a misunderstanding lead their friendship to be broke.
Some school bullies revealed Hana's some private photo and blamed Yeon for it. Hana was so blind to believe her own best friend and blamed Yeon, broke their friendship. When Yeon finally left school, the reason knew no one, Hana came to know that it wasn't Yeon's fault. Yeon did nothing, the bullies framed Yeon to break their peaceful friendship. Hana was shocked knowing Yeon's sudden leave for studies. But she didn't bothered to ask. When after 2 years, for some assignment works, Hana went to hospital only to meet Yeon with multiple wire attached. Yeon was so happy to see Hana. Hana apologized and Yeon forgave her.
Mrs. Kang started to head kitchen to make breakfast but Hana stopped her.
"Aunty."
Mrs. Kang stopped her tracks. Hana looked at her back. "I am sorry for whatever I've done. Will you forgive me?"
