Nathan looked out from the cupola of his M48 Patton tank,

The fog was extremely thick, it was hard to see the trees in front of him,

Let alone enemy tanks,

This was the final battle in the National tournament with the US team, against the combat tested Russian team,

Nathan's mind was fueled by thoughts of excitement, with a huge dose a fear,

If they lost here, the whole match was over,

Just then, something caught his eye.

Some fool kept his headlights on,

The silhouette highlighted the distinct features of a Soviet T-55 Main Battle tank.

"Loader, HEAT load! Enemy tank!"

"Gunner! Traverse right!" Nathan ordered.

The loader obliged.

The M431 shell made it's way into the gaping breech.

"Turret On!" The gunner said aloud.

"Fire!" Nathan yelled.

*KABOOOM

The gun fired

*CHUNK CLUNK

The shell casing bounced off the floor.

Nathan's view immediately snapped to the silhouette of the Russian tank.

The lights quickly turned off.

"Do you think we hit?" Madison, the driver said.

"I dunno, perhaps we got his tracks?" The gunner, Gareth, said.

"What are we waiting for!! Let's get that Commie!" The loader, Logan said.

The Commie-killing enthusiasm was soon joined by his gunner.

Madison exchanged a quick smile with Nathan, they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Nathan sighed.

"All tanks move out! We'll gut these commies here and now!" He said.

Mikhail, the Russian team commander looked out into the soupy mist that was the battlefield,

What was that?!

He then received a radio call.

"This is October two! Our track has been hit! Were immobilized!" The call came.

The tank immediately next to him had it's track ripped open.
