"OW!" Sunkit yowled as Mothkit trampled her tail.

"Sorry." Mothkit hushed her.

Mothkit was really excited and he couldn't stop himself from fidgeting.

This news must really be important.

Mothkit and his siblings still couldn't think of what this hurried news could be and so everyone couldn't wait to hear it. Mothkit could even feel the anticipation coming from inside the den. Night's piercing green eyes could be seen in the shadows and pierced Mothkit. He had been seen how could I not have noticed that I moved out of hiding! He quickly shuffled back between the rocks and small bushes and a shiver went down his spine. Mothkit was hiding in a bush, watching the warriors talk about something in low voices. He didn't like eavesdropping on warriors, because he felt really weird. It just seemed rude. The only way he could stay quiet was to only move his tail slowly and make no noise. They were being extremely mysterious and that was scary. When Mothkit got scared he couldn't think straight and became very clumsy, making even less noise than usual. Which was good. If he made enough noise he'd startle them and the warriors would become suspicious.

"This is a new prophecy, right?" said Hailstar, looking deep in thought as he spoke.

It didn't seem like he was talking his voice carried away in thought but somehow it felt like this moment was always meant to be and destined by Night Clan. While standing beside Night and the others, who were leaning forward on their haunches, Hailstar became aware of what was happening again and stumbled into Nightfern. Night was glaring up at Hailstar with narrowed eyes which made the black tom even more scary that he is. This was not going to go well!

"Yes, I believe it is." replied Night.

His eyes never left Hailstar who stood frozen for a few seconds before turning around and muttering to himself, pacing. This made Night and all the other cats look at each other questioningly. Something wasn't right, why did Hailstar seem so scared? It was probably nothing important. I mean how scary can a prophecy be?

"But why do we need this prophecy?" asked Whitefrost, breaking the silence.

Her voice sounded tired and sad like she hadn't slept for days. Everyone turned their heads to face her She sighed loudly and sat down on her haunches with the rest, she looked exhausted and like she had already forgotten this was a discussion about the future. Maybe it was better, if everyone forgot about it if it was so confusing. Hailstar stopped walking and looked back at Night who kept staring at him.

"I don't know but it seems very important even though we haven't heard it yet" said Hailstar, looking towards the entrance of the den before walking away from the other four warriors.

"Who is the prophecy about?" Hailstar asked as he turned to look at Night.

"I believe you've had new members of the clan?" Night asked in his odd voice.

"Yes I assume you mean Whitefrost and Fallenbirch's kits. Since both of their parents are here." Hailstar answered even more troubled my the news.

Sunkit and Pebblekit gasped beside him.

"It's about us!" Sunkit wailed silently to be not heard.

Pebblekit squeezed against Sunkit with shock and excitement at the same time. Mothkit looked back in the den.

"I believe there are three of them?" Night whispered.

"What NO!" Whitefrost screamed. "Does this mean one of them have to die! There are Four kits!"

Fallenbirch ushered her, "Maybe it's just a misunderstanding." He looked sympathetically. "But no there are four kits. Frozenkit, Pebblekit, Sunkit and Mothkit."

Night set his disappointed gaze at the two mates.

"Well you have to understand it has been written in the night sky that there must be three." Night slithered with his creepy voice.

"NO!" Wailed Whitefrost wailed. "These are MY kits and they won't be harmed!"

Whitefrost screech and hurtled herself at Night and they tumbled back into the den.

Night stood up and stalked to the entrance. But at the last moment he turned his head and gazed at the group of cats.

"But just remember, The night sky blazes with stars but only three will shine bright to be accepted,"Night's voice slithered." and anything that comes in the way shall be defeated." Night finished.

Whitefrost yowled and launched herself at Night once again. Night unsheathed his claws and raked her muzzle with his large sharp claws. Fallenbirch screeched at the sight and threw himself into the fight alongside his mate. Night stumbled back at the blow Fallenbirch gave him and he collapsed while he caught his breath. But before he could do anything Whitefrost attacked him again strikes her claws at his stomach. Night growled and snapped closely to her throat. She doged and pounced onto Night's back. Night used his weight to launch her across the den as her stumbled back up. His envy glittered menacingly in his eyes at every step he took closer to Whitefrost. Out of shock she could bring herself to stand upright again. Fallenbirch took one last pounce at Night but misjudged his jump and lay on his back directly infront of Night.
Fallenbirch used his legs to defend himself but it was too late. Night was in the perfect position and bit deep into Fallenbirch's throat. Fallenbirch opened his mouth to yowl but nothing came out.
