On the side of the world, a tall man is standing in the airport waiting for the gate to open for his flight. The man is wearing a white mask and sunglasses to cover his face. His bodyguard is with him to make sure that no one is going to disturb the tall man on his holiday. It has been a while since he last had time to take time off of work. His group is focusing on their solo albums before they all leave for the military one by one, but this man is tired and needs a break. He wants to create an album, but he is drained these days. Sometimes when he can not sleep he just sits up at night and looks out of the window looking at the stars. He hopes that one day he will have energy for life, he is just drained.
Hours go by and the man and his bodyguard get on the plane. He knows that they going back to a country he visited a good while ago, he never came back but missed the whole bicycle culture. He missed looking out of the windows of his hotel room and seeing lots of bicycles going back and forth. He misses some of the traditional food the country had to offer. It is not a big country, and it kind of makes him feel safe, to know that there are not a lot of people. He learned from his bodyguard that the people are unbothered, in public they would rather keep themselves to themselves when sober, but when drunk everyone is kind of your friend. His bodyguard was kind enough to tell him that the people might look depressed because of their clothing and their facial expressions. They are kind of private people. "I am going to take a nap, please wake me when halfway" The bodyguard nods and turns his attention back to his book.
Halfway through the flight, he wakes up and thanks the bodyguard. He pulls out a book from his bag after a while of staring into space. The hours go by and soon they are about to reach Amsterdam, they wait for a while before getting onto the flight that will take them to the capital of Denmark. When they land the man notices that it is snowing outside "Let us get a taxi and we can check in at the hotel" He follows the bodyguard who talks instead of him. He learned a while ago that his bodyguard was born in Sweden but moved to Denmark when he was 7, until a few years ago when he moved to South Korea to become a bodyguard, he knows a lot about the Danes and their culture.
Getting to the hotel was fine, the man got to see the many Christmas lights in the streets. Even if it is only 4 PM it sky is dark but the day is young. People are walking around in coats, he even saw a few with no coats but instead, they wore a hoodie as their top layer. "Is the Tivoli open?" The man asks his bodyguard in a soft voice. Tivoli in Copenhagen is almost 180 years old, some of the old rides are still there. He never got to visit Tivoli the last time he was here since he was on a mini tour around Europe, but this time he wants to see what the magic is about. Sure he has been to Disney Land, but Walt Disney was apparently very much inspired by the Danish Tivoli back then. "Yes, do you want to go tonight?" "No, I am too tired. Tomorrow?" The bodyguard nods and turns his attention back to the taxi driver, they start a convocation that the man understands nothing of, but it is fine he is too tired to keep a long convocation.
The night rolls around, the man is sitting with a warm cup of coffee in his hands, he is sitting in the restaurant of the hotel looking outside of the big windows. The restaurants are not that busy at night, sure a few couples are sitting around drinking wine or beer. He is sitting alone, sitting by himself with a notebook on his lap, he is trying to journal every day, and it helps him to get stuff off of his mind. Since he works a lot, he never seems to have time to just let the thoughts leave. He smiles at the sight of snow falling from the sky and onto the ground, it is not heavy snow, but enough so that you can see it in the dark. He looks around and spots a waiter nearby "Excuse me sir" The waiter turns around and smiles "Yes? Is there something wrong" The man shakes his head and smiles in return "No no, I am just wondering if you have pastry in this hotel that I can try?" The waiter nods "Yes, what would you like sir?" "Uh, can I try something that is very traditional in Denmark?" The waiter nods and excuses himself, after a few minutes the waiter comes back with two plates, and on each one is a small piece of danish pastry "Here you go sir. On the left plate is a Tebirkes, and on the right is a piece of Drømme Kage or Dream cake in English" The man thanks the waiter before he walks away. He pulls out his phone to take a picture of the plates to send to his members and writes: 'Looks absolutely delicious
After sending the picture, he signs "I miss the members already. I hope Jin-hyung is doing okay, I hope everyone is doing great"
