My Summer Adventure

It was the middle of summer and I was sitting in my room watching Netflix. The news lately had been full of warnings about the new street gang, The Russell Boyz, so I was hesitant to go outside. I had just finished watching a great movie when I heard a knock on my door. It was my mom, yelling at me to do something.

"Payton go outside! You're gonna get fat!" then she walked away.

I figured she was right, so I put on some flip-flops and went out the door. I walked down the road for a bit, just breathing in the fresh air and admiring how blue the sky was. Then, out of nowhere, a figure jumped out from behind the bush and knocked me down. I screamed and thrashed around under the figure, but whoever it was had me held down with a knife over my throat.

"Hey, give us money." said a guy from behind him.

"OR WE'LL KILL YOU!" said another guy.

I did a head count and there were five guys total, including the one holding the knife up to me. I knew immediatly who they were.

"The Russell Boyz!" I gasped. They grinned and looked at each other, pleased that I recongnised them.

"Now, how much do you have on you?" said Knife Guy.

I was too scared to talk, so instead I just stared at him until something clicked and I knew I knew him from somewhere. Finally, it came to me and I started freaking out.

"PETE WENTZ????" I screamed. Pete Wentz was in the Russell Boyz! "What are you doing here, Pete?"

Pete shrugged. "These guys are pretty cool, and I like feeling tough." he said as he glanced around at the group of boys, ages ranging from 12 to 16. He took the knife away from my throat and shook his head. "I guess I can let you go, since you're a fan and all." The other boyz groaned in protest.

"C'mon, Pete! She's the only person we've seen all day!" said someone. But Pete just shook his head and told me to go home after a quick selfie.

When I got home my mom approached me and asked how my walk was.

"Anything interesting happen?"

I shook my head and said "Not much."
