Chapter 1 jack

Ok so my life is probably over. But I'll try to tell you what's happening before I die and to tell you about this situation. I think I should also
tell you about myself. I'm 15 years old and am in the military I have a family in state 3. Actually never mind I should tell you about my home. Sorry about the confusion but hey I'm running for my life along with thousands of other people so cut me some slack. Well after very minor nuclear war our planet got screwed up like really bad for example plants kill hundreds of people a day but not the way you think what really happens is the plants beat down the door of some poor guy and eat him and his family. So yeah our world is weird now back to the states and instead of Ohio, California, Hawaii and stuff like that we have numbered states! Yay. (It makes stuff really hard to mail) and yeah the lower numbered state the less money you have so I'm not that rich but not that poor since theirs only 6 states. Me and my family are middle class. Now back to me like i said I'm 15 and in the military I also have a dog named pinto he is a Jack Russell terrier so he's a pain in the ass but I love him. So now you know about me and I can tell you what the hell is going on. Basically what's going on is a mutated squad of commandos just snuck into our base to kill everyone and we're all just kids enlisted to fight in the war. Of course those spoiled bastards in state 5 and 6 are tucked safely in their mansions while everyone else fights and risks their lives. Right when we got the message over the speaker there was fear and rage because we were told to risk our lives and stay there. Instead of running to a plane and flying to our families. Many threw up some curled into balls in corners and started crying. "This is bullshit!" My childhood friend yelled at me. I sigh " I agree but there's nothing we can do" I tell him he paused to think then looked at me with a devilish grin " unless..." " No no no no" I reply to his look " but if we run we might not get caught" I sigh " you might be right but if not we'll be sacrificed to the doom squad or whatever they call themselves" " I know but if we escape then we won't be killed or sacrificed" he was grinning but I had to shut him down fortunately for me. My other friend Jacoby shut him down " do you know how hard it is to get in?!" " the doom squad barely could they're probably dying in a storage room or something" " so? We know the layout they don't" " YOU ARE SUCH AN IDIOT OF COURSE THEY WOULD KNOW THE LAYOUT OR ELSE HOW IN HELL WOULD THEY HAVE BROKEN IN!?" Jacoby lost it " they could have guessed and gotten lucky" Ben mumbled he looked so hurt I was surprised Jacoby had always kept his cool and now here he was exploding like a volcano. Jacoby must have seen Ben's face because he mumbled some apology then explained with " they destroyed my city ya know" I was shocked I wanted to say something like I'm sorry but also didn't want to interrupt he shuddered and continued " my parents tried to fight and were slit open no one even touched them their intestines just spilled when they said they were going to fight then I saw him one of the members of the doom squad just watching me he almost looked like a snake and spider. It was so creepy" Jacoby shuddered again. I didn't know what to say and just hugged him he choked out " I feel like he's watching me waiting to attack to finish his job" " Jacoby he probably isn't going after just you" I try to comfort but he just laughs " I know he's coming for everyone" I silently agreed then I heard a bang and my soul left my body for a second everybody's heads snapped to where the noise was I sighed it was Ben getting into a fight screaming " I'll kill you bastard" I just walked up to him and punched him on the back of the head and dragged him away " ha ha you need your mommy to protect you" the guy and his goons laughed I simply let Ben go and let him go to work on the guys he won of course Ben was the best fighter in the base.
