Liam's perspective

I walked up the stairs of the tall building in front of me, glancing at my watch as I did so. Early for sound check as usual, exactly what I'd predicted. I opened the large cream door before taking my first right, leading to a long, narrow corridor. I was always the first one here, so waiting for the others to arrive would be no different to any other day. I'd get some peace and quiet for a while, which was always a good thing. Walking down the corridor, I looked up at the posters I'd usually see when I came here. Although there were a few new ones stuck up on the walls, most I'd seen so many times that I could probably tell you which order they were in and what was on them.

When I'd finally got to the end of the hallway, I had to decide. Stairs or elevator? After a thought, I stepped into the empty elevator and pressed the 3rd level button. I observed as the metal doors quickly shut like a venus fly trap, me inside. Usually I'd take the stairs for some excercise, but today I didn't feel in the mood. The elevator was more relaxing anyway.

After less than what seemed like a minute, I heard a 'ding', and the doors opened, revealing three startled faces. Louis, Harry and Zayn all staring widely at me. I looked around the strange scene, studying every little detail carefully. I was going to ask, 'Why are you all here so early?' as it was out of the ordinary for any of them to be here at this time. That was when I realised something very odd, and decided to ask another question instead. "Where's Niall?" I asked when I realised the Irish boy was missing, and was nowhere in sight. "We thought he came here with you", Harry stated simply and I shook my head. It wasn't like Niall to come by himself, which made the already strange scenario even stranger than it already had been. If he wasn't here, where was he? He never skipped sound check.  "Do you think I'd have enough time to go check up on him?" I asked deeply in thought and Louis shook his head. "It looks like we'll have to do it without him", Zayn shrugs and I sigh in defeat as I know he's right. But I needed to know if my Irish buddy was alright. "Guys, I'm gonna call him. Maybe he's sick or something". I pull my phone out of my pocket and search through my contacts until I found his name. I quickly pressed it and put the phone to my ear, waiting impatiently for someone to answer.

It wasn't much longer before the ringing stopped and I knew that he had picked up the phone.  "Hey Niall!" I practically yelled with excitement. What was meant to be a reply was just silentness. "Ni? Are you alright?" I try again, but the silentness just seemed to stay. When he didn't answer, I started to get frustrated. If this was some sort of game, I didn't want to play.  "NIA-" I started but stopped at the beeping my phone was making. I looked down at the mobile in my hands, startled by the words flashing on the screen. "Call ended".

He hung up on me?
