Chapter 3

It's been almost a year ever since the Arc Siblings joined the Military and during that time they learned a lot of things about the land they are staying in.

They learned that once you graduate from the Cadet Corps you can pick the three regiments of the military which are: the Scout Regiment, originally tasked with venturing into Titan territory but now serves as the military's main expeditionary force; the Garrison Regiment, which patrols and maintains the Walls, keeping Titans out and acting as the first to engage the Titans if the gate is destroyed; and the Military Police Regiment, the top-ranking soldiers who serve as the personal guards for the king and maintain order within the Walls.

The Arc Siblings decided that they split into two teams, four of them will join the Survey Corps who are comprised of Jaune, Jade, Bianca, and Saphron and the other four will join the Military Police who are comprised of Aqua, Rosemary, Violet, and Olivia.

They chose the Military Police and the Scout Regiment because, for the Military Police Regiment they are the most prestigious military sector due to their work, which allows citizens to live safely within the inner Wall and results in abundant resources. Therefore, it has higher authority over the other military sectors. However, they learned, it is the most corrupted military sector due to a lack of oversight compared to the others in the military. But they dealt with people in Atlas, so this is nothing new to them.

They will use this opportunity to learn more about the City and what other secrets they are hiding here, if they are corrupt then they will find anything they are keeping from the public and the Arc Siblings have their methods in getting info.

While for the Scout Regiment, they are the branch of the military most actively involved in direct Titan combat, Titan study, human expansion, and outside exploration. Due to their constant expeditions and encounters with Titans, Scout Regiment members are the most skilled in using the omni-directional mobility gear. This will serve as the basis on what the Titans are, the Arc Siblings will use this to their advantage and find out what these people's enemies are and maybe try to find a way to help them.

Jaune proposed to Siris and the rest of the Arcadian Officers that the Scout Regiment is most definitely the one group they will trust on their secret. They can't trust the Military Police, obviously and they can't trust the Garrison as they found them to be lazy and useless. So they concluded the Scout Regiment is the best choice they have, but they would have to earn their trust first and Jaune will be the one to do it.

They also studied their gear which is known as the Omni-directional mobility gear. A type of equipment developed by humans that allows great mobility when facing the Titans in combat. It allows the user to fight in a 3D space as opposed to a 2D one. The equipment itself takes the form of a body harness that encompasses much of the body below the neck. Although the equipment can grant a skilled user tremendous mobility, it is a demanding art that requires both strength and skill, both of which must be honed through constant practice.

Due to the Arc Siblings, training back at Arcadia they were able to easily use the ODM Gear with ease which impressed everyone in the Cadet Corps on how skilful they were and that their speed is rumoured to be at part with Humanity's Strongest Soldier.

They also learned that the the only sure-fire way to kill them is by slicing out the nape of the back of the neck measuring 1 meter high and 10 cm across. They regenerate lost and damaged body parts within seconds to minutes, including severed heads, although, there are rare instances where the head will not regenerate if the nape is cut through or blown off.

They gave this information to Command and it was found to be very useful in dealing with these Titans and would surely saved them ammo and power when taking these guys down.
