Tommy and Puprled sat off to the side of the building in some shade. As people started to take notice of Tommy being there, they started to ever so slightly leave. This didn't bother Tommy, no, his main goal was to be left alone at this point.
They were scared of the rumor that they would lose their power if they were too close to him. So much so, there was a good ten feet radius between him and the others that were around.
“Y’know,” Tommy started, playing gently with the bee Tubbo left with them, “You could go sit somewhere else. It’ll be bad rep on your part. You’ll be known as the weirdo that willingly sat next to the freak.” He snickered reluctantly. The whole thing left a bad taste in his mouth. Thinking it was one thing, but actually saying it? That was something else. Who was he kidding, though. He could care less what people thought about him. Some, grossly, soft part of him hoped Purpled was that way as well.
“Bitch, I don’t give a fuck.” He answered sarcastically, but it was more than true. Purpled didn't care, nor will he ever, about what anybody said or thought about him. He learned through hard trial and error that it only mattered to do what he liked.
Tommy laughed, he hoped it didn't sound as relieved as Tommy thought it did. “That's good, you see those guys over there? Yea, they don't like me, and they are definitely heading this way.” Tommy jutted his head in the direction of three guys walking over. Stupid, cliche school bullies. They pick on everyone, except Tubbo and Ranboo, they had made that mistake once and won’t ever do it again. They extended the favor to Tommy, but he didn't want them to deal with ‘his problem’ so to speak.
“You haven't used your powers on them?” Purpled whispered, Tommy gave him the most disgusted face he could muster. “Hell no, if I did that they'd either die or be harmed beyond prepare.” As Tommy spoke more passionately, his accent came out a little stronger. Purpled fake vomited at that.
“Hey Purpled, why you sittin’ near the freak?” A new voice challenged, it came from a boy who had two, devil like horns protruding from his head. Purpled looked around, fake confusion written on his face. “I don't see any freaks sitting near me. Are you feeling alright? Did you hit your head?” Tommy almost laughed at the very terrible look of fake sympathy in his tone.
Horn kid rolled his eyes, annoyance clear when he sighed. “The bitch sittin’ next to ya, dimwit. Guess you joined their little freak show they have goin’ on." Tommy wanted to puke at the very clear, and thick, country accent he had. Ladies swooned over it, he vomited.
“Listen Blake,” Tommy started, he stood very clearly towering over the kid, “I could care less if you make fun of me, but making fun of my friends is where i have to draw the line.” He subconsciously stepped in front of Purpleds sitting position, only a little. He will in fact deny that he ever did that though.
“You have no powers, the fuck you gonna do ‘bout it.” Blake stepped a little closer to Tommy, looking up into his eyes. 6’1 against 5’7 was not a good matchup to look intimidating. But boy oh boy did he sure try.
Tommy rolled his eyes, “We were just sitting here, minding our own business when you and your goons came over and started verbally assaulting us.” He gestured to the ‘goons’ in question. Bunch of nobodies really. Their names were Carter and Elie. Twins, Carter can shapeshift and Elie can copy another person's power.
Blake smeared at the attack, “I can always tell when someone is up to no good. It practically reeks of bad behavior wherever you are.” He gestured around them, the twins had the nerve to snicker at the comment. A few people started to look at them with interest. Nobody noticed the bee that had disappeared.
“That's funny,” Purpled decided to step in, “Were you able to detect the attack then? Must have smelled awful for how much it decimated the place. Don't even get me started on the death toll.” Tommy shivered inwardly. He knew people that lost their lives in the attack today. Purpled may have physical enhancements, but he really loved fighting psychologically with people. It made him all the more useful in a fight, especially a verbal one.
Blake reared back from the sudden hostility from Purpled, before he could answer though a new voice came through, “Do we have a problem?” Tommy knew that voice anywhere, Sapnap had come to save the day, even though they were handling it just fine.
“No, sir.” Blake said quickly, he had a sweet smile on his face that screamed with ill intent. Sapnap nodded then focused on the other two. “Tommy, Purpled,” He acknowledged, “It's time to get going. Ranboo is feeling better and we’re ready to get moving.” He said matter of factly. Tommy smirked at the look on the other three's faces.
There will always be a satisfaction of knowing when you’ve won. Tommy and Purpled absolutely won this battle, and hopefully all the others that will come along the way.
