The sun is hanging highly in the clear sky and Louis frowns slightly to himself as he looks over at the clock to see that it is already half passed noon. Normally this wouldn't bother Louis, but today is Friday and Harry gets off of work at eleven on Fridays. Louis begins nervously pacing on the wood floors in their living room and begins tugging frantically at his hair. Harry could be doing anything right now: going on a secret date, trying to simply get away from Louis, or he could even be dying at this very moment.

At that thought, Louis feverishly grabs the house phone sitting on the kitchen counter and hurriedly dials Harry's number. It doesn't take long for Harry to answer, the phone barley finishes the first ring, and Louis is holding his breath with the many possibilities of who could be on the other line.

"Louis!" Harry yells happily into the receiver as Louis finally allows himself to exhale. "I've missed you so much Boo! I've been waiting for your call all day." Harry is standing in a small book store, slowly tracing the spines of each book with his pointer finger as he speaks to his husband.

"Where are you?" Louis barks angrily into the phone after his initial relief that Harry is alive subdues. Harry doesn't get the chance to answer though as another question forms in Louis' mind. "And if you missed me so much, why didn't you call me?"

Harry sighs sadly as he realizes that Louis is in one of those moods before quickly trying to calm his husband down. "I'm at the bookstore, sweets and I didn't call because I didn't want to risk waking you." Louis works third shift and as Harry is working in the morning, Louis usually uses that time to catch up on his rest. "I'm sorry I worried you, darling."

Louis rolls his eyes on the other end and Harry can almost hear it as Louis begins to speak. "You've been at the book store for almost two hours?" Louis' voice holds disbelief and Harry smiles sadly to himself as he realizes that Louis is trying to take back control.

"Well, I also stopped at the bakery to pick you up a blueberry muffin and some tea. It isn't ready yet though-they were extremely busy-so, I thought I'd wait in the bookstore," Harry explains while smiling brightly as he finds the book he was looking for. "I promise I'll be home soon, okay? You can always trust me Boo."

"Whatever," Louis mumbles quietly into the phone before hanging up, annoyed. He trusts Harry, he really does, but there is always a small voice in the back of his mind feeding him possible ways Harry will leave him. It constantly puts ideas in Louis' head and he's having a hard time tuning them out like before.

Harry is used to Louis' odd behavior though and he doesn't give the phone call a second thought. He knows what Louis has been doing lately, understands how he has been feeling and it worries him more than makes him angry. Louis is slowly cracking under the pressure of trying to keep his vow to let go over these past five years and he's not sure if Louis will ever fully let go again.

The love of his life is a control freak and falling in love is slowly ruining him from the inside out. Harry sees it and he's trying his best to reassure his precious boy that Harry will only ever love him, but he doesn't think it's enough anymore.

"Is this all sir?" The lady at the counter asks as Harry reluctantly walks over. He doesn't answer, just nods his head in confirmation and gives her a wrinkled five dollar bill before walking over to the bakery across the street and waiting for his order.

Louis isn't acting as calm though, as soon as he pressed the red, end button he has been walking furiously back and forth across the cold, wooden floor. He knows he loves Harry-knows that Harry loves him-but he can't take the voices. He pulls on his light brown hair frustratedly as he tries to pull the voices out of his mind.
