During the rulings of the great Roman emporer Marcus Aurelius, the empire flourished and was at peace. This is not to say Aurelius was a particularly innocent man. In my opinion, I feel Aurelius is my greatest enemy.
Not only is Aurelius an enemy, he is the worst kind of enemy. The enemy who shows no mercy. Behind his stoicism and mild manners he hides a strong ambition to make the empire a profit- thus increasing the probability that Rome would flourish under his leadership.
You see, Marcus is a great man. But when he started to come after me and my family, he became my worst fear. He became the person who I would have nightmares about- even as a man.
Everyone believes Aurelius is a great man. So do I. But I think he wanted to kill me. This. This is that story.
