Darkness.

Slither and slide across the floor,
Crawl and loom behind the door,
Wait till the sun sets to make my presence known,
Not even you can keep me away for long,
Wiggle and skid over the room,
Drag and swim under the bed,
Wait till the lights go off for my presence to be known,
I am darkness,
Something we've all been afraid of.
