There are many different and unique characteristics that a great leader should possess in order to successfully guide their followers. These characteristics are the three main aspects that make up the most important pillars of leadership. A little kindness goes a long way, and when dealing with situations that result in anger, it is best to deal with the setting carefully so as to not create any future disputes. Transparency is another important pedestal for authority, as most leaders should find themselves telling the truth at all possible times while not causing their community to worry over nothing. According to a quote from Denise Morrison, former CEO of Campbell Soup, "The single most important ingredient in the recipe for success is transparency because transparency builds trust" (Forbes). The last and most essential mark of a leader is courage. It takes an awful amount of bravery for anyone to stand up to others while keeping their commitment to stand for the truth. Without the three indispensable pillars of leadership, kindness, transparency, and courage, a great leader will not be refined.
