Rewind

Ch. 2

"Annabeth!" Thalia shouted, running up to me and the stranger.

I sighed, and told my stranger that I'd be right back. "What?" I asked annoyed.

"We've got trouble."

*Percy's P.O.V*

Wow this girl was stunning. Her bright blue/gray eyes reminded me of my step sisters kitten, Eli. I smiled at the memory of throwing playful Eli at poor Cassidy's face. It was HILARIOUS. Or was that Adina's face?

I can't tell the two apart.

I stood up from my position on the floor, and walked up to the blue eyed beauty.

"I have to go." I frowned.

"Summer school." She nodded.

"I'm Annabeth." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you Annabeth, I'm Percy." I took her hand in mine for a shake.

I noticed people had filled the store. I put my hands in my pockets and walked out of the store. The chilly air surprised me, as it had been warmer when I first got here.

Something was off. This wasn't right. I looked back at the book store, but nothing changed. I continued walking until I reach the school, passing my best friend and favorite teacher, Grover and Mr. Brunner. I continued into the library to start my book report.

I had trouble though, with my ADHD and dyslexia. Through out the day the weather only chilled and the sky grew cloudy. This was just too familiar. Then the teacher that hates me and I hate back, Mrs. Dodds, says " A word, Perseus.".

But how - no one knows my real name except for my mom and Grover. I decided to just go with it and I followed her to the art room.

Why does this seem so familiar. I put my hand in my pocket, and felt--- a pen? When did I put that there? I pulled it out and saw it was a fancy navy blue ballpoint pen.

It seemed pretty normal to me. Except- written on the side was a word in a different language. However I didn't have time to decipher it because Mrs. Dodds had started speaking.

"Your grades young one, are low. Therefore I have assigned you an essay. I want 5,000 words on my desk by next Friday.". I nodded and walked out the door.

This wasn't right. I mean it was perfectly normal for Mrs. Dodds to assign an essay but everything feels a bit... Off. I decided to try and figure out what the words on my pen meant.

But then I remembered, I had left the pen in the art room.

I ran back, but the door was locked. Sighing, I walked away and decided to get it tomorrow. Putting my hands back in my pockets, I felt it. How? I pulled the pen out, and skimmed it again. It seemed familiar. My eyes found there way to the words in a different language.

And somehow I knew. I knew the pens name.

"Riptide." I whispered.

I felt a sharp pain in my head as my eyes clouded. Then I saw everything. Everything that had REALLY happened to me in my life. I remembered Gabe, Camp Half Blood, All of my quests, my battles beside my friends, loving Annabeth, my father.

Everything.

My eyes widened, and I uncapped Riptide. I ran through the the hallways, everyone looking at me strange. I ran across town to the book store. Standing outside was Tyson. I hadn't seen him in forever.

I hugged him tightly and whispered, "Brother. Son of Poseidon.".

His eyes widened and he too remembered.

"Find Chiron and Grover. Get them to remember." He nodded and we started running, until Tyson stopped me.

"Wait! Percy! I missed you." This made me smile, and I nodded at him.

We both started up again.

"Annabeth!" I shouted.

Where did she go?

"Percy?" She asked from behind me.

"I thought you had-" I cut her off by crashing my lips to hers in a deep kiss.

We pulled away, and I watched as her eyes widened. Her friend walked up next to her. I recognized that punk rock style and electric eyes immediately.

I grabbed her in immediately and hugged her tightly.

"Thalia. Remember please. Daughter of Zeus." I whispered.

"Percy let go. I remembered when I saw Riptide in your hand as you kissed A." She struggled.

I felt embarrassed. It was only minutes until our team was in the book store.

"So, what happened."
