It's a very typical Tueday morning. My mother and I are on our usual morning commute to the Elmstown Daycare when suddenly, we are stopped by the horn of an on coming train. Trains were normal. We didn't have any of those blinky bars to warn us, but that had never been a problem......
Until today.
"Mom?" I pipe up from the back.
The car begins to roll dangerously close to the tracks.
"Mommy shouldn't you be stopping the car already??"
She's still not answering and starts frantically slamming her foot against the breaks.
From my carseat I can see the train getting bigger and bigger while the hood of our convertable still contiues to inch closer to the tracks.
Why doesn't she just stop the car already?? She has every other time there's been a train...
The sound of the speeding monster is becoming almost unbearable for my little ears, yet my mom is still ignoring me and continues to drive nearer and nearer.
"Damn you you blasted piece of junk car!"
Mommy never swears in front of me like that...
"Ok Dawn sweetie, don't worry. I'm gonna make this really simple alright? Now how old are you?"
" I am 4 and 3/4 mama."
Didn't she already know that..?
"Wonderful Dawny. Now when I count to that number, 4, I want you to grab your back pack and hop out of the left door super speedy quick. Run AWAY from the tracks and don't worry about me or ol' Ella, mkay? Understand?" (Ella was the name of our car)
"Okay Mama, I understand"
Not really.. I am still super confused
Why did she sound so worried?? Couldn't the train hit it's break too?? Was this how we waited for trains now on?
"Alright. One, two.. "
I tightened my grip on my Strawberry Shortcake back pack.
"Three, "
But she never says four.
There is a flash of light and a loud crash. Glass and shredded metal rain on me while the sky truns funny colors. My mom's body isn't moving, my back pack is gone...
But something else is wrong...
Why can't I hear anything..?
******************************************************************************************************************
I awake with a sudden jolt, sweat drenching my shaking body. I may have screamed too, but I couldn't really tell.
It was the same dream I'd been having almost every night since a month after I went deaf. Sometimes I have a different back pack or something else small changes, but it's almost always the same. The doctors say that's exactly what happened, but I can only remember in my dreams
Basically, there's A train, a crash, funny colors, my mom's body, and suddenly I can't hear. Ever again.
It's 5:04 in the morning; I can't go back to sleep now, so I reach for my iPhone instead.
Woah. A message already?

Hey love! Sorry it's so early. Wanna go out for an icecream tomorrow.. err... Today actually ;) Please don't say no!
I giggled at the text. It was from Harry Styles, my best friend and well.. one of my only friends in the whole world.
Oh, the joys of being different!
As much as it killed me to say no, I had to. I wasn't planning on joing Harry for icecream.. ever for that matter. Why?
I planned on ending this hell I was living once and for all today. I was gonna go down to the bridge as soon as possible and I would officially give up. Just slit my wrists and fall down into the unforgiving rapids. Not even Harry, the one person who actually cared about me, would stop me.
It's for the better.. For Harry.. and for me...
Those were my final thoughts before I slipped back into my nightmare filled slumber.
A/N Hi everyone!! So I've finally started to write a fan fiction Lol! It was only a matter of time before the trend caught me I guess ;) so what do you guys think?? Should I keep going or just abandon it? Please leave comments below! Thanks so much to all of you who read it! I understand
