chapter three, holy shit, i wanna be able to do that
"how was school today honey?" eve asked her daughter as she watched her revise for an upcoming test. after not getting a response she then put her fork down and placed her hand on top of lunas. "what's wrong?"
"nothing mum." luna said pulling her hand away and beginning to write more notes down from off the top of her head. "just trying to study."
"was it those boys again?" she pressed more. "just tell a teacher or something, they'll deal with them."
"they won't, it'll just make everything worse." she mumbled as she wrote some more notes down.
"if i could i would deal with those boys myself." eve said giving her a small smile before going back to eating her dinner luna had cooked.
luna looked up as she heard a knock on the door, she got up and opened the door to see miguel. she quickly stepped outside and closed the door behind her.
"hey luna." miguel said smiling. "my mum was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner."
"um, i can't" luna said, getting a questioning look from miguel. "studying."
"oh well, we could study together after." miguel replied. "only if that's okay with you."
luna smiled at him before looking down at the floor. "my mum wants to watch a movie with me after so."
"oh" he said looking down. "that's okay."
luna looked at him seeing him slightly disappointed. "maybe another time."
"yeah sure, that'd be cool." miguel sighed, smiling at her. "i should probably go, my yaya just made some enchiladas my stomach is calling for."
luna laughed quietly at that. "yeah that sounds nice."
"yeah." he said turning around to walk off before stopping and turning back around. "you sure you can't come over for a bit."
"yeah, sorry." luna replied.
he looked at her with a small smile. "its all good."
"hey miguel, is this the hot babe you've been talking about?" johnny, one of her neighbours said as he walked out of his apartment.
"uh no" miguel said turning to face him. "this is one of my new friends, luna"
"hi" luna said quietly. she never really spoke to the man, just a sorry once when she bumped into him. he started yelling at her to be more careful but luna ignored him quickly going into her apartment.
