It's eight in the morning.Or, as his friends keep reminding him, way too bloody early to have a damn near migraine.
"You're getting old, Bakugo." Mina teased, but smartly lowered her voice to lessen his suffering.
"I'll show you old," he mumbled in response, burying his head deeper into his arms.
"Yo! Bakugo! Are you hungover or something?!" Denki's loud ass voice shouted over from across the classroom and Bakugo groaned.
"No, Denks, he's just stressed himself out enough to have a headache before we even begin class." Kirishima declared, and Katsuki heard his eyeroll. "Shut it, shitty hair." Kiri just laughed.
"Only when Bakubro is suffering to we get our beloved nicknames," the shark man teased, and Bakugo felt like smashing his head against the wall.
"Why don't you go to Recovery Girl?" Todoroki's calm voice shot through, and Bakugo almost glared at him.
"I'm not bothering her with a bloody headache, moron. What if someone else is seriously injured and she doesn't have enough energy to heal them?"
"You know Kacchan, it is her job to help the students? I'm sure she could help with your headache and then heal five heroes with the amount of training she's gone through and-" Katsuki promptly dropped his head onto his desk again, groaning.
"Deku, I beg you, shut the fuck up." Midoriya flushed, quickly cutting off his rambling with a quiet, 'sorry Kacchan!'
In due time, Aizawa arose from his cocoon on the floor -- seriously, did he wash that thing? Because it looked nasty as hell and Bakugo would rather lose his quirk than touch that thing and--
"Bakugo, you look like shit. Go see Recovery Girl." The sensei declared, glaring at him and mildly gesturing to the exit of the classroom.
The blonde shot him a pleading look that was promptly ignored, and he watched resigned as his friends silently rejoiced as he walked by. He glared at them, those traitors.
Really, Bakugo knew that they only cared about his health in the most difficult way possible -- he fondly remembers them quite literally dragging him away from the training grounds one time - it took all three of them -- and he was really self-destructive and maybe a little bit of a perfectionist, but it didn't help that they watched his every move! Deku didn't steal only one of his moves, after all.
Well, at least he had that, he supposed. They stopped putting Bakugo and Midoriya together in a training ground after he nearly blew the place up -- they're quite even matches, and his first-year self would've been raging. They both know each other's strengths and weaknesses, and they both were excellent at blocking at deflecting (Bakugo was definitely better, though - more training and all that- ), the only thing that pissed him off was Deku constantly talking. A small 'that's a really impressive move!' to him asking Katsuki to redo the combo so he can take notes. He doesn't know how Bubbly Bitch manages to crush on him, honestly.
That's not entirely true, Bakugo flushed at the thought. Midoriya was ridiculously cute and super hot when he went all badass on villains.
Finally, he reached the Nurse's Office, which, by the way, is across the bloody building from the classrooms. Not everyone has super speed, people!!
Tentatively, he knocked on the door, quickly slipping in upon permission. Recovery Girl looked up at him with a look he could guess was unimpressed -- it's difficult to decipher sometimes -- still getting ready to start her daily flow of injured patients. Bakugo flushed in embarrassment as he glanced at the clock propped against the wall. The numbers 08:06 stared at him dauntingly.
"Well Mr.Bakugo, it is quite early to be having problems, is it not?" The nurse asked, not condescendingly, but sarcastically and slightly curious. Katsuki winced at the slight echo the room graced him with.
"I really don't mean to be a bother, but Professor Aizawa had me come in for a headache and -"
"Mr. Bakugo, you do realize it is my job to treat students, correct?" Recovery Girl interrupted abruptly, staring at him with beady eyes.
"Ah, uhm - yes, ma'am." Bakugo stammered out slightly, wringing his hands subconsciously. The hero sighed exasperatedly and gestured for him to sit down, in which he dutifully complied.
She easily brought her hand to his forehead, her brows furrowing at the heat she felt. The nurse swiftly took his temperature, frowning at the result and focusing her attention back to Katsuki.
"Well, it seems you have a fever, and you know what that means." Bakugo winced at the implications, cringing as the healing kiss landed briefly onto his cheek.
He sighed in relief as his headache immediately ceased, leaving behind a blissful, painless world.
Recovery Girl's quirk really makes you appreciate being healthy, huh?
"Alright, troublemaker, feel free to go back to class now. Aizawa's probably already started by now."
"Huh?" A quick glance at the clock told him it was 08:14, four minutes past the usual time his sensei started. "Oh -- uhm, thank you for the healing, Recovery Girl!" Katsuki quickly bowed respectfully before rushing out of the room.
He quietly cursed Nezu for making UA this big as he rushed through the winding corridors, having to redirect his path once or twice in his haste. On his way here, he'd been successfully slowed by the pain in his head, meaning he'd payed more attention to his surroundings. Now, his brain was more rushed, already off-put in the separation from a pre-made schedule he'd followed for months.
Groaning, he realized that he had no water, nor did he have any in his bag or locker. Usually, he was more prepared than this, but he'd been lacking in sleep and slept in this morning, his normal extra water was given to Uraraka after she forgot hers a couple days ago...
Katsuki determinedly stopped at one of the vending machines, quickly pressing the button of the アルカリ option. He rushed to insert his yen coins -- totaling to 122¥ -- and grabbed his drink as he ran off to the locker rooms.
-------------
The amount of unnecessary research i did for this chapter is actually ridiculous. In case you're wondering, アルカリ is a popular water brand in Japan (according to google) and translates to Arukari. This water costs about $0.93 in the U.S. Originally, I had this posted but Wattpad got everything messed up and didn't finish the chapter/save it so...
