"If a single thing is not accounted for, it will be the last day you ever step foot on this dock!" Captain Beauregard yelled at the top of his lungs. It was only sunrise as he gathered the crew Lucas has used to take inventory of every single thing they had taken off the island. "Captain, I'm sure that pirate was bluffing. They will give Sylvia back in one piece regardless. They don't want to mess with you or your estate and they certainly-" Lucas was cut off as Captain Beauregard grasped the collar of his shirt. "If my daughter is harmed in any single way, I will hold you personally responsible. How dare you take something that wasn't part of your quest?! You put my daughter's life as risk for your own greed!" His hand balled up into a fist and was about to swing at the lieutenant when Elizabeth grabbed his arm and pulled him away.

"This will solve nothing." His wife whispered as she pulled him father away from Lucas. "That delinquent is the reason our daughter is missing and could be hurt by those pirates. God only knows what they have done to her. Her virtue-" "Is safe!" Came a voice behind Johnathan. The captain and his wife looked behind him as four men stepped forward with me behind them. "I told you," Hongjoong said stepping forward, "Women don't get hurt on my watch. And when someone does try to hurt them, I deal with them." Mingi pulled Lei forward and slammed him to his knees in front of my father. "Like this man for instance, he decided to try to help himself to my prisoner and your daughter. Allow me to show you the kind of man I am when people upset me." He grabbed my arm and pulled me forward and pushed me against Mingi. "As much as your daughter is at fault for this, she is still, for the most part, innocent." Mingi said as he held me tightly by my arm. San took a step forward and untied the ropes around my wrist and handed something to his captain.

"The kind of captain I am is the kind that doesn't stand for injustice. And when I see it, I intervene. So when I decide that someone is worthy of my protection, it doesn't matter in what form someone decides to cross that line." Hongjoong said aloud as he waved the newly aquired flint lock towards Lei. "This man, in the dead of night, decided to try to assault your daughter." San announced loudly. My mother looked absolutely horrified as she and my dad watched on. "And I was quite appalled to know that it happened under my watch. You can thank my crew for bringing it to my attention. You can also thank your daughter's quick thinking as she bit my crew member and then ran. I can't say I was too surprised as she cried when we tried to help her. But I feel like when she realized we meant no harm towards her, she calmed down."

Mingi held tightly to my arm but looked down at me. "Am I holding too tight?" He asked. "Because you really care?" I muttered. "You heard the captain, women don't get hurt while he's around." He whispered to me as he eased his grip on me. "I know last night I said I wouldn't hurt you because Miss Sylvia was there but I feel it's better for her parents to be here to witness what happens to those who mistreat what belongs to me." Hongjoong laughed. He cocked the flint lock and pointed it at Lei. As the shot rang out, my mother hid in the chest of my father and I turned around and hit my face in chest of Mingi.

'What tha...' Mingi's thoughts echoed as he looked down at the small woman pressed against him, 'What is that strange feeling.... I don't know what to do...but why do I want to hold her...she's so pretty even when she's crying. Damnit, what is with my chest? It hurts so much to see her like this.' Mingi gently wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer as my tears fell against his shirt. "Hey, we told you to stay at the inn" San whispered to me as my tears continued to fall. Mingi pulled me closer to him and turned us away from the scene. "Is my daughter ok?!" Elizabeth yelled out to Mingi. "I assume you were the one who took care of her after it happened. You seem to care about her." She finished. "On the contrary, he wanted nothing to do with her." San chimed in. "She was helped by myself and another who isn't here. Don't ask why he's acting like that now." He said with a chuckle. Mingi just looked over at San and scowled with a slight blush across his cheeks.
