A Letter to the King

To His Royal Majesty King Entylan III of Izmeel

My King,

As you have requested, I have written this letter of recommendation for the top students at the Academy. I hope you forgive the delay in the delivery of this document.

To start I will say that all the students who have survived the Academy past the age of fifteen are incredibly skilled in themselves. However, there are few I would entrust with certain tasks that you have bidden me not to mention.

First I will recommend Mattnus Jeroam. This boy is sixteen. He has lived at the academy since he was twelve; a little older than most, it is true, but he excels in most areas of our training. One drawback is his lack of interaction, with the other apprentices. His teamwork skills could use some major improvement.

Next, I would recommend Twilnik Zephyr. At fifteen, this girl had been drafted in the army for a year, before she was sent away under unusual circumstances. She is extremely skilled, and there are few even among the masters here who can outdo her in accuracy with throwing knives.

Lastly, I would recommend Coyra Sovern. This apprentice is an unusual case, with her questionable parentage as I have explained. However, from where I stand, I see no apprentice more devoted to our cause. She is only fourteen, but incredibly skilled. The one oversight is that she often over-estimates herself and is quick to temper on occasion.

Finally, I have given thought to your worries about the apprentice Kyte Silveen and with all due respect, I feel your fears are unfounded.

I hope this letter is enlightening.

Yours respectfully,

Master Sudra Evvnin
