Haerin's POV
I immediately call hanni
"Haerin-ah what happens?.."
"I got myself a date with Danielle..!!"
"That's great..!!..but are you okay?"
"Eh..why are you suddenly asking that"
"I mean you have been trying for weeks..so i am just worried that you might be drained from this.." hanni hesitates before replying back
"...but I'm fine..?" i say it more like a question which made me doubt too
"I'm soo sorry!!..anyway tell me your date in detail after attending it!!" Hanni cuts the phone in a hurry
"How can I be drained from it?" I shrug off the weird feeling in my stomach and continue with rest of my classes
When practice ends i approach Danielle
"Dani~"
"Hm?"
"Can I get your number?"
"Oka..y"
We exchange numbers
We start walking together to exit the school
"What did you save my name as?" I start a conversation
" As Haerin..?"
"Wait..let me change it"
"How about a No?" Holding her phone more dearly and far from me
"Fine..you change it to 'my future girlfriend' "
"Of course not.." Danielle shows me a judgemental face
"Don't look at me like that!"
"I will message the details..bye..!" She runs of to catch the bus
I wave at her which she does not see but i don't mind it
Soon my driver comes and picks me up and takes me home
As soon as I open the door i hear a voice
"You said you were coming home at 5:30?" My mother looked agitated
"Yes." I confirmed with confidence
"It's currently 6:00" my mother stares at me
"I got a little late because i was talking to one of my friends plus it takes time to reach home-" i tried explaining but sadly i couldn't
"I don't want any excuses!! Go to your room!!" She angrily as she pointed her finger towards my room
I hang my head low and dragged my legs upstairs
its always been like this but I never got used to the treatment given by my family
Well..i never expected it anyway since their not my real parents..
