’Motherfucker’ you thought as you started running away from the group of wolves. You couldn’t believe that he would play so dirty. It was supposed to be a fight for dominance between you and JYP. The older wolf decided to play dirty and have the entire pack gang up on you.
You were tired, yet your body never stopped moving. Your instincts were telling you to run to safety.
Getting home now was like playing a game of Russian roulette. You didn’t know if your roommate was there. You’d be fucked if he was. Even if you transform back to your human form, how will you explain to him all the blood and injuries? Normally, you would’ve just waited it out. This time, however, you needed healing fast. Otherwise, you won’t survive.
The only place that will allow you to heal fast is a place you feel safe in. The only thing you could think of was your shared home. You had to take the risk.
As you got close, your nose picked up a familiar scent. It smelled like fields of flowers on a warm sunny day. Shit, that could mean one thing: Felix was not only home, but he was also in the garden, probably enjoying his day. You were hoping to sneak in by the back door and just hide in your room until the wounds are gone. That won’t work with him hanging out in the garden. You were trying to come up with another plan, but your mind wouldn’t cooperate.
You decided to hide in the nearby bush and just wait. You were praying to the moon that the blonde would go back to the house fast. Exhausted from the fighting and the running, you collapsed onto the ground.
You woke up hours later. At first, you thought that you were in your room. Your brain felt too fuzzy to recall anything that happened before you passed out. You tried standing up, but the sudden pain in your body stopped you. You once again fell to the ground. You whined in pain. You couldn't help but curl into a ball. You were so focused on the pain, that you didn't hear the footsteps coming closer to you.
“Aww, puppy, you shouldn’t be standing up! I just finished patching you up!” Your roommate's voice rang through your ears. It snapped you out of your thoughts. You looked at him confused.
Did he mistake you for a dog? Is he serious?
Felix had a bad habit of taking every animal he sees as his friend. You had to drag him away many times so he wouldn't get himself killed. What you weren’t expecting is for him to take a stray ‘dog’ into your house. You have to give him a talk when you get back to health. If it was a real wolf, or worse, another werewolf, he could get himself heavily hurt or even killed. He was lucky that it was only you and that you felt safe with him seeing you in bad shape. Otherwise, it could end badly for him.
Felix began to pet you behind your ears and you couldn’t help but melt at his touch. When a year ago somebody told you that you’ll be letting a human pet you, you would laugh at them for their stupidity. And yet here you are: enjoying some pets from your human roommate.
Your peace is disturbed by sudden pain throughout your body. ‘Shit’ you thought. That pain can mean only one thing: you’re gonna shift into your human form any minute now.
You stand up and fight through the pain, you try to reach your bedroom. Luckily, you left your door open so didn’t have to worry about that.
As soon as you entered your room, you once again collapsed on the floor. You could feel pain as your bones rearranged. Your paws slowly turned into human hands. Loud bone cracking filled the room as you slowly took your human form. You lay there naked on the floor as you tried to catch your breath.
“What the fuck” you snapped your head as you look at your confused roommate. Your mind needs a few minutes to process what just happened. Then, it finally got to you: Felix just saw you transforming. You were fucked. How on earth will you explain that to him?
You two stared at each other for a few minutes. The air between you two was so tense you could cut it with a knife.
“So, care to explain?” Felix asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence. You look down trying to collect your thoughts.
“You might need to sit down for this one,” you say as you put random clothes that you found on the floor. “There's a lot to unpack here.”
You remain on the floor as you watch Felix sit down on your bed. As soon as he did, his leg started to violently shake as it did every time he was nervous. The last thing you wanted is to see nervous Felix now. Every Time you saw him nervous, your instincts wanted to protect him from anything that made him feel that way.
“Calm down, nobody will die tonight” you said as you softly touched his knee in an attempt to calm him down a bit. You sucked at doing so, but you still tried your best.
It seemed to work because his leg remained still on the floor. You took a deep breath as you started explaining yourself. You said everything you could. You told him your origins: when and how you became a werewolf. It wasn’t that interesting to you as you were born to a pair of werewolves and were raised by them. On the other hand, you knew that you were a lucky one. You couldn't imagine how hard it has to be for werewolves that were turned later in life. You also explained some history of werewolves and how everything worked between them.
“So, questions?” you ask as soon as you finish your tale. You do not dare to look at Felix, you’re too scared for that.
JYP would call you pathetic for caring what a weak human thinks. Most werewolves don't care about humans. You also didn’t care about them. However, Felix was different. You cared about him a lot. His personality made it impossible to not care about him.
"Do I know any werewolves?" Felix finally spoke up. He stares at you as you think of an answer.
“Can't tell you, sorry” You lowered your head, avoiding eye contact.
“Do you eat humans?” Your head shoots up. You stare at Felix not believing what you just heard. ‘Does he see me as a monster?’
“Felix, what the fuck. No, I don’t” You finally say. still in clear disbelief.
“Cool.” Blonde says, after taking a shallow breath. You didn’t realize it until now but his breathing got weird over your conversation.
“Are you alright?” You ask, turning your head to the side. You carefully analyze his face, looking for any sight of panic and anxiety.
“Yeah” Felix said, his voice clearly shaking. He was not fine.
You watch as the blonde tries to stand up. With his first step towards you, he passes out. Luckily, you were quick enough to catch him. Carefully, you carry Felix’s cold body to his bedroom. You lay the boy down and sit next to him on the bed. You stare at his peaceful features, admiring his beautiful freckles. You like looking at them because they remind you of the night sky and the stars on it.
‘Shit.’
★— tbh I think I might continue thus on ao3 but I'm not really sure. It would be fun to read though.
