Poem On the Death of Bai Fengjiu - Author unknown, date unknown

A fox came down from heaven's gate,

To walk amongst the glades,

But this fox had an ill-formed fate,

For all it found was blades.

A red fox fell in the land of ghosts,

Qing Qius grew teeth and claws,

Forth they charged in heavens hosts,

Till blood was in their maws.

From the east a red sun rose,

In anguish and iced rage,

To scribe into its endless book,

Another blood filled page.
