Hello ANYbody who might actually read this. As you very well know I am a very... creative child and my mind is always racing with new ideas for stories. If you didn't well now you know. I have now decided to put all that creative energy to something I love more than most things - music. No I am not writing my own songs. I wouldn't be able to do so and I most certainly would suck eggs at it. I'm going to be creating music videos without making videos. Just ideas that pop into my head at times that I think would be good. I'm not a very good director or producer or camera-woman but I can come up with plot lines so I've decided to share that with the world through wattpad. So I hope you enjoy this first music video I would love to create. :|
Music Video for The Lonely by Christina Perri
We begin with a girl. The room she is in is padded, much like what most people think of when they hear the words mental asylum. We start from the where the ceiling would be in the room as the first soft strains of music begin. As the music goes we zoom into where her face is and her eyes suddenly open and she sits up just as the lyrics start, as if someone called to her.
2am, where do I begin,
Crying off my face again.
She gets out of the bed and you see the strait jacket that keeps her bound. As she moves towards the door, see an image of a mysterious man in a tuxedo, a top hat, and a black mask. She goes out into the hallway and sees the man again but this time walking down the hallway still facing her.
The silent sound of loneliness
Wants to follow me to bed.
She rushes after him as if in a daze, trying to make sure she doesn't lose him. The desperation on her face is evident but she makes no sound as she follows the man that is slowly disappearing. As he rounds the corner he disappears completely but she continues down the path he took.
I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well.
Rounding the corner leads to another hallway with only one door which she goes to, seeing as how it is the only place the mysterious man could've gone. She goes to the door and slowly opens it only to be greeted by a huge black and white ballroom. In the middle of the room is the mysterious man and he is dancing without a partner.
Dancing slowly in an empty room,
Can the lonely take the place of you?
I sing myself a quiet lullaby.
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again
The girl watches in fascination as the mysterious man dances alone, as if he doesn't know she's there. He waltzes around vivaciously like he has a real partner then suddenly stops and turns to the girl and they stare at each other, his stance a challenge to her.
Too afraid to go inside
For the pain of one more loveless night
The girl makes her way into the room and as she does her white strait jacket and slacks are replaced by a beautiful ball gown, her hair is done into a princess type updo, her lips are blood red with lipstick and her face has an intricate white mask adorning it. She approaches him slowly, still in her trance-like state.
But the loneliness will stay with me
And hold me till I fall asleep
The man holds out a hand to her, extending an invitation for her to be his dance partner. The girl moves closer to her so that they are less than two feet away from each other then places her hand in his before looking up into his face.
I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well.
The man slowly and deliberately places a hand on the girl's hip then draws her closer making her gasp.
Dancing slowly in an empty room,
Can the lonely take the place of you?
I sing myself a quiet lullaby.
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again.
They begin to dance, alternating between waltzing and just spinning. Her dress flows around their legs in a swirl, creating the illusion that they are gliding. Their dance is like a battle of wills, a fight for dominance. It is fast-paced and passionate but slowly the girl is getting paler and paler.
Broken pieces of
A barely breathing story
Their dance slows and the girl is becoming more passive, allowing the man to take the lead and guide her through their dance. Her face is now an ashen gray but her lips are still as red they were before. The man's lips are pulled into a grin as he leads.
Where there once was love
Now there's only me and the lonely.
The air around them starts to shimmer as the song builds up to the climax. Now they are back to their passionate glide spinning but the mysterious man is still the lead and all the girl can do is follow. The music gets a tad bit louder with each word as if it is selling.
Dancing slowly in an empty room
Can the lonely take the place of you?
I sing myself a quiet lullaby
The shimmers burst kinda like fireworks then suddenly there are several couples in the room, all dressed in ball gowns and tuxedos, like a masquerade ball. They form two rings around the girl and the mysterious man. They spin and glide like the couple in the middle but also the circles move clockwise and counter clockwise, respectively, creating a sort of frenzied atmosphere.
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again.
As the music begins to lower again the ring on the outside fades away again. Then the ring on the inside disappears next so that it's only the girl and the mysterious man who are left. The girl is now practically limp in his arms and looks as if she is dead. The man leans down to kiss her and as he kisses her, he completely disapears just as the lyrics fade away into the ending piano.
The girl falls down with nothing to support her and as she hits the ground she's back in her padded room and her doctors are trying to get her up and back in the bed. The only remnant of her experience is her blood red lipstick and the mysterious man who is at the door, tipping his hat and grinning wickedly at her.
