After finding the truth about (name), I decided to do a bit more research on her. I went to the bridge and used the super computer to give everything history had about her.
"Who are you, (name)?...who were you really, in your past?..."
- You -
The ninja and I raced after the falcon. It was astonishing how it rarely took a break from flying. We ran past the deserts and through the snowy mountains. When we were climbing a steep, rock alp, Jay sat down."You guys keep going..I- phew. I'll catch up later."
We carried on and found a barren wasteland. There was a ravine in the way, but thankfully, an old tree was laid down to help us cross. Then, Cole fell behind too.
"Just t-taking a breather! I'll- I'll meet up with you shortly."
Zane, Kai, and I kept running and we made it to another snowy environment: Birchwood Forest. The falcon continued flying as the three of us stopped for a minute. Kai panted while hunched over and pointed weakly at the falcon.
"Gosh..that bird just keeps going!" He then saw a wooden sign on the ground, "hey, what do you make of this?"
The sign said Beware of Treehorns but Zane didn't know what exactly it was talking about. "I am not familiar with a treehorn."
"It's probably just some wild squirrels."
"Actually, no, Kai." I corrected him, "they're tall, frightening beasts that can camouflage with the Birch trees. It's how they can sneak up on you if you're not extremely vigilant of your surroundings."
"How do you know that?" Kai raised his brow.
"I read in my spare time. Have you ever thought about doing the same?"
"Tch," he rolled eyes at me. The falcon then called to us as he went ahead. Kai turned to Zane and said, "well don't lose him! I'll wait for the other guys to catch up."
"Yeah, I'm staying back too," I sat on a tree stump, "just remember what I said about those treehorn monsters and be careful."
"Understood," Zane nodded and resumed to chase the falcon.
Time passes by for a bit. I was carving a small piece of log and Kai was just messing around with his golden sword. I noticed how sloppy his stance was and how exaggerated his movements were. I felt compelled to give him some advice, but seeing as how our relationship was rather.. rivalry, he most likely wouldn't listen to me. So, I continued with my carving, which I was pretty gifted at. I made a mini falcon for Zane. I thought I could paint it and give it to him as a gift. I mean, out of the four ninja, he was the one I respected the most.
"Fi-YAAAAA!!"
I snapped out of my thoughts as I saw a fiery tornado come at me. I jumped out of the way, holding the wooden charm close to my chest to protect it. Kai then stopped his spinjitzu as he whooped loudly.
"Hey! Hothead!!" I shouted at him, getting up from the ground, "you almost burned my face off! Watch where you're going!"
"Uh, yeah, sorry." He said dismissively. Oohoho, he must really hated my guts if that's his apology. Fine, I'll just hit him where it hurts.
"You'll never be the Green Ninja with that kind of attitude." I said with my back turned, hearing a hum come out of him. "Not to mention that awful stance, lazy swings, and reckless hand-eye coordination. You're clearly not ready, or even fit, to be a living legend."
"I get what you're trying to do, but it won't work. I know I'll be the Green Ninja, I just need to find my true potential and BAM! My destiny is sealed-"
