Few days later,Late evening at Vox,
Vikram confronts Das...
Vik: Seriously Das??? Ms.Ekshitha as New Editor-in-Chief?
Das: Well you see its Board's decision
Vik: Ms.Ekshitha was an intern in New York. She has no experience! and she can't tell what article i can and cannot do! (yells furiously)
Das: See vikram this month's profit are already higher than last quarter all thanks to her.
So, she can tell you what to do and what not to do.Vik: This is my magazine built by me on my reputation Das
Das: But you don't own it. Better work with her.
Vik: From when are you planning this?
Das: Vikram... sighs Board requires money and people like to read exotic updates and not some random boring political news... Ms.Ekshitha proved that she can bring more profit and audience with her news... So, your work is no more needed for us.. Be happy that i am telling you this personally.
Vik: I should be happy?? For what? telling me now so that, i don't make a scene during work hours?
Das: Relax Vikram... You are still the Founder of 'Vox' and CEO of "Amethyst"
Vik: Still?? So it will also change? What are you planning to do further? Kill me?
Das: Stop being dramatic vikram.
Vik: Am I ? Am I being dramatic? You have no idea what you are doing to me (tells das with hurtful voice) better be ready to face my wrath (with rage)
Vikram leaves Vox Office with a broken heart....
Vikram reached beach and yells loudly to let out his frustration....
'Vox' was not only his hardwork but also his own kin which he has for himself...
He made sure that nothing comes between him and'Vox'.
Will he let it go?? NEVER...Vikram dialed his friend Santhosh, a lawyer by profession...
Santhosh: Hey Vikram! Epdi iruka machan?
Vik: Not good at all
San: Ena aachu da?
Vik: The Board is trying to replace me with that sick Ms.Ekshitha. They can't do that can they?? (asks in a defeated tone)
San: (silence)
Vik: Tell me Santhosh!
San: (sighs) If they have majority votes, they can.
Vik: I am the founder of 'Vox' Santhosh. Don't i have any rights?
San: It always sides with majority Vikram
Vik: What about Business Ethics?
San: It's just subjective, and we cannot go against the Board legally.
Vik: Is there any other way to get 'Vox' alone?
It was my startup and i funded it.San: We can talk with them. But it will not be a good deal Vikram
Vik: I will do anything to retain 'Vox'.
Next day Morning,
At 'Vox' Meeting room,
Das and other board members where present inside.... Vikram and Santhosh enters in....
Santhosh started arguing with the board for such a drastic decision without any consent.
San: Such decision must be taken with founder's consent and it not ethically fair..
Board: (argues) It was a fairplay legally Mr.Santhosh... and we have replaced Vikram so we cannot discuss replacing him with another person to him
San: sighs.. But you cannot... vikram stops him from continuing further...
Vik: So, what is your decision??
Board: We are replacing you by Ms.Ekshitha
Vik: And your reason is?
Board: it's revenue and pubilicity
Vik: (anger roars inside him) I need 'Vox' back and I am cancelling the contract between 'Vox' and 'Amethyst'.
Board: You can't do that.. it will result huge loss for you...
Vik: You don't need to worry about me. I will manage that...
San: Vikram don't take decision in haste...
Board: Rethink once again vikram... Your decision may turnout as worst... you might be removed from 'Amethyst' Publication too
Vik: Do i look like i care? (Yells with frustration)
(Board discussed within its members)
Board: You can get back 'Vox' Vikram but on few conditions....
Vik: And what are they?
Board: 'Vox' will not be under "Amethyst" Publication anymore and you cannot claim royalty for past articles. 'Vox' should never takeover entertainment news business. And the last important one, YOU MUST RESIGN FROM "AMETHYST".....
