2. The Boyfriend

Chapter 2 

Meera

My boyfriend asks if I'm comfortable. I said yes and he left. 

Legit, leaves me alone to go and sit with his friends. 

Others travelling with us are in a different coach. A couple who's dating is in a different coach, Radhika and Meet. Then there are single friends like Vidhi, Sunny, Kishan and Disha. He asked me to sleep and went to sit with them, leaving me with Vinay and Priyanka. 

Now see I've been on many trips before. I love travelling and trains are so cool. You get to see a diversity you probably won't see anywhere else but only at Indian Railways. 

And I know this about myself that I fall asleep as soon as the train starts. I don't know, it's just so soothing to me. But it still doesn't sit right with me. 

But I don't dwell much on it. Because, yes right, I fell asleep. And sleep I did, straight for next six hours.

       I wake up with someone tugging on my hair. I look down to see Ved messing with my black, wavy and currently messy hair. I take away my hair, he tugs on my blanket. I take away my blanket and for a second I think he's gone but then he climbs on to the middle seat that I'm sleeping on. Reluctantly I pick him and bring him by my side. 

        Ved points at my phone, I tell him No. But he doesn't listen. And then we're both fighting for my phone. Well at least I'm pretending. 

       It's morning and we still have a few hours to kill. I check my phone and there's an urgent message to mail a document. I knew something like this was bound to happen so I carried my Laptop with me. I open my bag, take out the laptop and send the documents. Meanwhile Ved was looking at se videos on YouTube. 

An idea strikes me. I started watching an already downloaded K-drama on my laptop. Since I don't see my boyfriend anywhere it would be a perfect way to pass the time. 

An hour later, 5 of us are watching the drama, little Ved included.

As I started the drama, Ved put my phone aside and focused. Then Priyanka woke up, we folded the seat and started watching it. Vinay woke up and joined us. Sunny was going to brush his teeth but he came upon a particularly good scene and sat down on the train floor after spreading some newspaper because of a better view. Nah, he actually stood for a good fifteen minutes and then sat down besides Ved and then finally settled on the floor. 

We didn't stop till we crossed 4 episodes. 

I already like Priyanka and Vinay and I also think it's going to be good bonding with Sunny. And Ved, who doesn't like strangers, likes me already. 

All this while when I make friends with my boyfriend's friends, he's somewhere else, doing something I don't know, with people I don't have any idea about.
