Jennie's eyes fluttered open some hours later, trying to make sense of her environment.
She slowly began to place herself, dressed, in the comfort of strong, warm, loving arms.
As Rosé's face came into view, and she saw that the blonde too was dressed, she wondered if the previous night had all been a dream.
"Hey baby . Are you alright?" Rosé greeted her softly.
She nodded. "Why wouldn't I be?"
A small smile crept across Rosé's face as she let out a chuckle. "You did pass out, wifey. If your goal was to scare the living daylights out of me, then you succeeded."
Color rose in Jennie's cheeks. "Really?"
Rosé nodded. "I took care of it, not to worry."
Jennie let out a small smile and looked away from Rosé, embarrassed. "Thank you." She looked around her, startled. "Where are we, a plane? What for?"
She turned and saw the blonde bite her lip. "Yes, but you'll see soon enough, love. Your things have all been packed and you're dressed."
Jennie looked at Rosé's face, alarmed.
"But what about the family? You couldn't have just walked out of there without Suho and Irene knowing. We were expected to go to church with them in the morning, Rosé! What were you thinking?"Rosé thumb gently fell to Jennie's lips, silencing her. "Calm down. I embellished the truth a little, just like we've been doing all week."
Jennie cocked her head to one side a little, curious. "So you did talk to them, then?"
Rosé nodded. "I apologized for ducking out early, but told them it was absolutely necessary that we take a second honeymoon and see my family before we went back to work. They were incredibly understanding. Don't think we didn't have their blessing."
Jennie cast Rosé a scornful look as she shifted out of her arms. "That's not embellishing, Rosie. That's lying— period." She started to rise when she realized that they were in a bedroom. "where are we?"
Rosé sighed and ran a hand over her face, frustrated. "My private jet. I Called Robert and he was nice enough to acquiesce to my request to pick us up from the airport near Suho and Irene's place."
Jennie raised an eyebrow but let up on her defensive attitude a little, lying next to Rosé "I will never understand you. What on Earth are we doing?"
Rosé took in a breath to refute Jennie's curiosity again, but was distracted by the sudden beep. She smiled and looked back at the brunette, grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the room towards the seats. "We'll be landing in a few moments. Then you'll see what's going on. Let's get buckled up."
Jennie shook her head but did as she was told, letting Rosé take her hand as the plane started to descend. When it was again safe to be up and about, Rosé immediately took a position behind her, covering Jennie's eyes with her hands. "Rosiiiiie" she squealed in pathetic protest.
Rosé simply smiled and edged her towards the door. "Watch your step," she cautioned.
Jennie sighed and stood her ground, refusing to budge. "Roseanne, we're going down steps. I'm not taking the chance of falling."
The blonde's heart leapt at the age old reference again, but she conceded. "If you promise not to look, I'll carry you down. How does that sound?"
Jennie pretended to be annoyed, but was secretly enjoying this. She loved it when Rosé carried her. Something about floating on air and the inability to fall charmed her. "I suppose so."
