A few weeks later, things were going back to what was considered "normal". Sharon was in her room constantly hating the world with a bottle by her side, George was never in the house but either at his crackhead buddies or getting drugs FOR his crackhead buddies and be lucky he gets whatever's left. Suzy still had that empty feeling in her heart from her Daddy not being in her life, and Peppa in on another mission to get revenge.
Peppa had been waiting and plotting for this for about a month and a half now, and she was going to do it. Everyday Suzy is more and more distressed over not only loosing Mr. Sheep, but now Mattie is disappearing more often than usual and every attempt at her mother-daughter relationship is failing drastically.
"Peppa, I don't know what to do anymore." She said while clasping her hand in Peppa's, "I don't want to give up on her because she's all I have left."
She knew that Suzy didn't that entirely, because Peppa was standing right there, but that statement still pissed her off. "You have me my dear, isn't that enough while your mother is entertaining every man or whatever in this town and possibly beyond?"
Suzy unhooked their hands and cried, "Peppa you know that I didn't mean that, you mean so much to me. But my mum still needs me so please don't be so cruel or make me pick sides. I love you, ok? Will you forgive me?" She then sunk to her knees and wrapped her arms around Peppa's legs while she gasped and choked on her salty tears.
Peppa knew that Suzy was starting to be pushed to her breaking point, but the way Suzy was so dependent on her and was so willing to apologize was such a thrill for Peppa. "I do forgive you my little cotton ball. I don't want to talk about it anymore, so let's go get lunch." As Suzy rose and wrapped her arms around Peppa's one, she just smirked in her head and thought,
"Eaisy to break, like a saltine cracker. Poor Suzy is so dependent on others which is why she must be mine."
Suzy stayed over Rebecca Rabbit's for the night and normally Peppa would be quite upset about this, but tonight she saw it as an opportunity.
"Are you sure you're cool with this? Or maybe you can come?" Suzy looked up at her with big brown eyes. "It's fine babe, I would go but I have stuff to do with my job and since the boss isn't dying or retiring anytime soon, I need to go." Suzy's quick giggle to another one of Peppa's smart-ass responses quickly turned into concern, "You've been going to that place more and more and I'm not even sure where it is, I could take you there."
She's so eager to help those in need, even when they don't need it.
"I promise, I will be fine by myself but tell me all about it tomorrow!" With a kiss on the cheek, Peppa ran into her house without another word.
Mattie Sheep was sound asleep in her bed, she got a note on the fridge, but she couldn't read it because she was too drunk to see correctly. But she hadn't seen Suzy in her bed, so he assumed she stayed the night somewhere. Mattie wondered where that girl was raised so well and how she missed it; she knew that Mr. Sheep played a part in the way she was but with all she endured along with that...she was perfect. Which is why she was never at home, always ignoring her when she asked to have tea and talk time. Suzy tries so hard to bond with her mum, but Mattie won't expose her to her ways and ruin the little girl that she didn't even watch grow up.
Peppa had followed Mattie after parting ways with Suzy this afternoon so that when her head fell on the pillow, she would be ready. Luckly for her, this didn't take long because of how much alcohol Mattie consumed at the bar, "Damn a woman could drink." Peppa thought while peering through the window.
She crept into Mattie's bedroom which was ten times nicer than Suzy's. The walls were black, which is usually not a color you choose for walls, but it actually contrasted well with pastel purple window borders which had lacey white curtains, closet and room doors, and the ceiling all matched. Her bed was a mix of blacks, light and dark purples, greys and whites, all laced or silk. The carpet was purple, and the dressers and drawers were white. "So, this was definitely HER room, eh?" Peppa thought even though she could remember so many times when Suzy would tell her about how her mum would make her daddy sleep on the couch for most nights.
It took her a while to find the things she was looking for until she stumbled upon a dresser right next to Mattie's bed. Peppa grabbed all of her money first, stuffing every last bit in her pockets, then she looked at the endless quantity of birth-control pills that were carelessly labeled in plastic bag after plastic bag. When it came time for sex, Mattie understood that she didn't want any more children but still wanted a way to do it without condoms or anything that would make the experience "unnatural." But of course, she never suspected that anyone wanted to tamper with that either. After an hour, she managed to switch out all the pills with laxatives. She was going to go with vitamins, but Peppa is all for watching her suffer as much as possible. So, after she was finished, she took off and moved on with her plan.
After Suzy came back from her sleepover and told Peppa about the movies they saw and all the different nail colors they used, Peppa grabbed a handful of money (including Mattie's and even Suzy's bank money) that she's been stealing even though she's been lying and saying that she's found a job and announced.
" I know that things have been hard for you, and I've been at my new job. But I decided that we go for a vacation, wherever you'd like!"
She looked in disbelief, not knowing how to handle her happiness anymore. "That is amazing...I mean thank you, umm would Paris be, ok? I know its cliche, but I've always wanted to go." Peppa got on her fours and crawled closer where Suzy sat, criss cross until her forehead was touching hers.
"Paris then, it's settled."
