"Feelings"

A week had passed since the pair had moved it. GF was in the kitchen cooking while BF was still asleep. This was the best decision they had ever made, moving in together was a dream come true for them. GF walked out and smiled as she watched him sleep, caressing his hair gently. BF slightly opened his eyes, and beamed as he saw GF.

"Morning." He smiled.

"Hey." She giggled.

BF started to sit up, but GF threw herself into his lap, hugging him warmly.

"You're awfully affectionate," BF chuckled.

"I love doing this with you. Besides, the sausage gravy will take awhile to be done." GF said.

"I love your sausage gravy, you have the best cooking!" BF smiled, licking his lips.

"You cook really good too!" She said.

"Yeah... but I think yours is better," BF shrugged.

"Aww, thanks," she beamed.

GF snuggled with BF, causing his face to go completely red. She was so close to him. Why did he feel this way? They were friends, of course, just friends. Nothing else. Besides, she has done things like this for years and BF never really cared... so why was it such a big deal now?

GF held him so close, if he had really had the intention he could easily move just a bit and kiss her. But of course he wouldn't do that! She was his friend... just his friend...

The sound of the stove alarm went off and GF pulled away from BF, which he found himself hating since he had enjoyed her being so close to him.

"I got to check the biscuits. I'll be back in a little bit, ok?" GF smiled.

"Of course, take your time," BF chuckled.

As GF left the room, BF found his face being warmer than ever. Why the hell was he feeling like this? He has been friends with this girl since the very beginning of high school. I mean... sure, he has felt something for her... and she has been the source of his excitement moments (if you know you know) but he never thought anything that high of it. She was just plain hot after all, mostly any boy who knew her could say that.

But one thing BF never really thought of was... why was he rather so defensive of GF? Anytime she had a guy around in her life, BF would just break. And he knew GF had a similar feeling when BF would talk to other girls. Tabi was GF's ex-boyfriend and BF envied him to his core of hatred. This guy always took GF's attention away from BF and he couldn't stomach it. He would never tell GF this... but he threatened Tabi to break up with GF. And with good threats, Tabi did back off.

BF hated to see when she had been upset, but technically GF had done the same thing to him. Anya, she was so beautiful and BF's first love. But he could tell it pushed GF back too far. And in her jealousy and fear of losing BF, she took matters in her own hands. Now BF could never exactly say GF was the one to get rid of Anya... but with how she acted beforehand, this wasn't that much of a step up.

The more he thought about it, he had always wondered why this was the case. I mean, he and GF always have been friends, but friends want the best for each other. They would be happy for one another. So why was there this huge sense of jealousy when it came to other guys and girls entering their lives?

Maybe there was that actual possibility... What if BF really did have feelings for GF? I mean, there was a spark before BF couldn't lie about that. At a former time, BF almost thought they would get together. They had kissed before as an "experiment" but nothing seemed to ever happen from it. But the more BF thought about these things, he just smacked himself in the head to break the thoughts.

"She's just my friend. Nothing more. We've been friends for years and that's how it remains. We aren't in love... There's... no way. Wouldn't she have said something by now? Wouldn't she have wanted more out of that kiss we shared before? ...Why am I even thinking about this?" BF grumbled.

"BF..." the voice than no other of GF asked.

BF looked up, and this time looking at GF, he found himself warming up in the face. And he would not lie when he actually saw visible hearts flying around her. What in the actual hell?

BF smacked himself in the face and sighed.

"Are you ok?" GF asked, a worried tone in her voice as she walked over and sat beside him.

"Yeah... I'm just dandy..." BF groaned.

"Then why did you smack yourself?" GF asked.

"Meh, just thoughts about bills and all," BF lied to her.

"Oh... well there's no need to worry about that.  We can split our money on them and we'll be fine," GF explained.

BF just looked down, still red in the face as GF sat close to him.

"Your face is really red. Is everything alright?" GF asked.

"Of course... yeah, I was just looking at... girls in magazines and shit..." BF lied again once more.

"Oh, hehe. That makes sense. Maybe you'll find the right girl around these parts," GF giggled.

"I think I already have."
