(Aka: the prologue)
One day, long ago... giant human-like beasts hunted down humanity, seeking to consume as many of humankind as possible.
With the discovery of the Grimm, the two types of mindless beasts almost wiped out humans and faunas, until one day the Faunas found Dust and the humans gained the Titan Shifters, with these tools, the faunas and humans fought off the Titans and almost eradicated them, the Grimm were luckier due to being expendable and easily replaceable.
The first Titan Shifter: Ymir, then helped and became the wife of a powerful king whose name was lost.
The pair had three daughters and when Ymir died, the three were forced to consume her corpse.
A hundred years later and Titan Shifters are being driven away as Faunas are enslaved or forced into indentured servitude.
To defend his people, one of the kings, who wielded the powerful first Titan: the Founder, created thousands of Titans, colossal ones, not the size of the Colossal Titan itself, but close.
The migration of these Titans shook the earth for hundreds of kilometers around.
The Titans created the bases for three walls: wall Shia, the largest and lowest-down wall, had many farms and the lower class within it, several smaller districts attached to it were created from the excess Wall Titans, the second and middle height wall: wall Raine, contained the middle class and was extremely difficult to get into. The third and smallest wall was on the peak of the small mountain they were on and contained the upper class and the well-maintained storehouses.
There was a distinct hierarchy between the walls. Faunas and Humans were treated similarly, if not with a little bias from the judges.
